i planted 10 LR#2 beans and only got 3 females all growing differently the main female is 1 week from finishing she is 23 odd inches tall and is looking and smelling nice i am usin a 4 way envirolites reflector with 2 x 125 watt red and 2 x 125 watt blue to finish her off but i started them all off with just the sun and water she shot up well the lights have improved her though totally she has more vegatation now and her buds have grown extra bits on them as if they are swellin up i will post pics of the 2 i am growin the 3rd was shit and never grew really till it was to l8 and she had started flowering and was only 3 inches tall here some bud pics of the big girl

try using hps should get better results

i think ur LR#2 looks good so well done, ive grown in the past and have one on the go at the mo.

as bubble boy said HPS will get u better yeilds but the set up u using will gett u some bud.

im just using a single 125w red enviro and can yeild upto a 1/2oz per plant.

This is my lr2 @ day 38 from popping the seed in the soil, grown using hesi soil nutes with 1 x 250w red enviro and 1 x 125w blue enviro, i've tried to keep the lights as close as pos so she didn't stretch much. There are no trichomes visable at the mo hope they're coming soon.

i cant remember when that plant started to get covered. proberly about 40ish days. my current LR is about 35 days and i can see trichs appering, so urs should be soon.
i must say dirk that is a fine specimen for a LR2 proberly the best ive seen.

dirk m8 thats a bad lr#2 loads of veg NICE mine is tall and she aint got much leafage but thats probably due to the fact she wasnt put under till week 7 because the reflector was a lot bigger when it arrived because i was so stoned when i ordered it i forgot to check measurements out PMSL
bowcon thanks for comments m8 this my first grow really and it all started because of people puttin shit in the weed i had some a while ago that made the ash go a solid black and it was hard to get a drag so i came to the conclusion to just GROW MY OWN i know what the fucks in it then m8 lmao i am in process of building a cupboard to sit the reflector on as it is 100cm x 55cm BIG but effective as my female has only had 4 or 5 days and she is lookin alot healthier and the buds looks fatter??? mite be my imagination i was hopin to upgrade to HPS l8r on when i found my feet and hopin the police dont kick my door through i am worried about smell and wanted to build a carbon filter myself as they expensive. i hope to use the enviro's then for a clone room or seedin i just wondered what sort of wattage HPS i would be needin and hows the best way around the heat issue'???i am also lookin at scrog growin just wondered if anyone had any experience in this and if so whats the best strains for it???heres some more pics ps THE 1 PIC IS OF MY QUICK BODGE UP FOR NOW GROWROOM LMAO JUST TO FINISH HER OFF.

If you're burning that much electricity with the 4xEnvirolights, then you'd be better off getting at least a 250W HID ballast & lamp.

You're already dealing with 500W worth of heat from the Enviros, so dealing with a 250W or even a 400W HID shouldn't be too much bother. (I'd look into getting a 600W though, if you can handle one, as they are by far the most efficient HID lights)

Hey peeps, some nice pics there.

I've got 4 under 2 x 200w red enviros in allmix fed with biobizz. These pics were taken last week and 3 have since put on abit more height (and lots of budsites!)

First pic shows the runt. no more than 8 inches and is very densely packed with thick indica leaves. wondering whether to trim it abit? Is flowering slower than the rest.

Second pic is the tallest one (was 63cm last night). The leaves are alot slimmer and has a very open structure.

The other 2 are similar, however one is looking abit sick at the mo.

last pic was taken at 3 weeks. They grew sooooo much in one week I was amazed

hardly any heat comes of these enviro's atall m8 in fact ive had to help warm the space by closing all windows and doors as it gets cold easly i am going to build a cupboard and was wondering how i would move the heat from in such a smallish space from a HPS would i have to get a good fan and extractor in there to move it out effectively and i also wondered if you can go from a HPS to a Mh to improve yield and plant quality??i dont know what to do with these enviro's also if i do get a HPS setup can i use them to clone?? or seed plants?? or is that not cost effective and finally i dont want any undue attention so smell is a big problem really but havent noticed much of a problem yet with LR#2 just smells like ive ad a smoke but i want to try growin some UK Cheese i love it, but it smells quite a bit are there any strongs strains that dont give of such a stink???

how is the 600 watt more efficient???

at the moment i just got some mylar sheeting stuck around the reflector as a tent with just white floor sheetin for spilage's it's only temporary for a week or so until she finished just wanted her to have a good bump up with light

good growing ppl there are some really good examples of LR#2 in here i was wondering what the max yield anyone's had??? as a sort of friend of mine claimed to be able to get 4Oz's of a LR#2 by a D.I.Y aeroponic's setup ??? is this possible

my first female grew about an inch a day when she got to 3 weeks old she just shot up you could watch her grow it was mad , she has very sticky buds at the moment it smells so sweet!!!

Thanks for your kind words bowcon and tyas i'm hoping she's going to give me a fair bit of bud that will last me another nine weeks until i've had chance to grow out the rest of my seeds. I haven't had any smoke for about 3 months so i'm chomping at the bit!

thats a really nice yield you got there well done m8 good luck with future grow's i have got a female pollenated she has got the seeds growing at moment u can see them so i gon bang a few more in soon when they ready ill keep the pics coming i gon try experimenting to see whats best and see which is most effective for me i am gon go down the HPS route i think just to get more smoke i have to smoke daily or i go insane i cant cope without a reefa of the finest!!!

here's my girlie LR2... she's at about 55 days from seed, under 2x200w red enviro's but i used 2x125 blues for veg... started her off in Westlands instant planter soil which was far too hot so i switched to westlands multi-purp with JI on my third repot...

she's a bit small for her age and not as developed bud-wise as some of the LR2's i've seen, but i put that down to beginners UN-luck(y) i also think that planting her into too big a pot for her first repot made a big difference.. won't be makin that mistake again!

anyway i love her no matter how big or small she is - i just want the buds now!!!!

i got a couple that i repotted a bit early we all learn by our mistakes m8 i think its the best way to go m8 find it out as u go and see what works best for u i have got the 1 small female but she really healthy so i pollenated her for another LR#2 run i love these plants so much they are cool i know people diss em bad but i think they have so many good qualities an so far the weeds is sticky and smelly on the plant so she should smoke nice to, to be honest i think they are perfect to grow between crops in the clonin room so u always got a good bit of smoke always gotta av some weed thats no.1 rule m8 lmao

i love my LR like my kids to this is goin to be the longest week of my life now waiting for her to be finished im not sure but i would like to cut the top off and let the bottom ripen a bit more but i aint sure if it is possible??

tastes abit harsh at the minute but a few weeks curing will sort it out i reckon. takes a good 10 min to kick in but when it does, you know about it and it lasts for ages. im gonna leave the one thats still growing abit longer than the first one, stronger the better

As for the hit, it didnt take 10 mins to kick in for me was pretty strong but then my tolerence was pretty low as i refuse to buy shite grit weed. and i throught the taste was good enven those i only cure for a week or so. (it was desperation)

from ur pics i reckon ull do well with that plant, they arnt the biggest yeiders but i reckon under the right grow conditions u can get an once per plant. i reckon ull get 1/2 no probs with ur plant who knows even more maybe

how many orange hairs does there have to be for her to be ready my 1 female's hairs are all orange now practically apart from the lower half of her can i chop the top half down and let the rest mature a bit more or is it best to chop it all at same time???

u can go by the pistols(hairs) if most at least 75% are red/orange/brown then thats when i havest. but for a better indication u wanna be looking at the trichs, with a magnifying glass.
depending on the high u want clearer trichs more high, milky trichs more stoned.
but i am sure someone with better knowledge will give u a better example as i said i go by pistols being atleast 75% red or more.

and i u can chop the top off and leave the lowerbudz too have more time to finish. i did with a LR#1 last year and it worked well, if i remmeber it started to sprout another couple of buds as well just for good measure.

anyone heard that u should stop watering ur plants before u give em the chop if so how many days b4 the actual chop do u stop the waterin???? any suggestions on this would be greatful


Also i got told by some one which im really not sure i beleive, to put my new seeds of my plant in a little bag open then put that in a carrier bag and then to put some green bananas in the carrier bag with them and to tie a knot then every 3 days to expell the air for 2 weeks he said that the bananas give of a female phermone when turnin yellow and the seeds absorb the phermones turning them female???? bit unreal really so i was wondering what ppl's thought's on this were ??? any suggetion's welcome

Sorry mate but that's guff. Not watering a plant during the last week will not make the chopped bud dry any quicker.

I only got half oz dry from it .but it was flowered on a 12/12 cycle to fit in with my El-nino's and it was vegged under a hps . the one I have on the go now has been vegged under a metal halide ,here are pics of them side by side (scratch that ,here is the one I got half oz off ,the hps one ,

and at about the same age the MH one ,I reckon I,ll get about 20 grams off this one

well u ve been doing this a lot longer and have more experience.

but surly not adding water will mean the plant has to use up it own moisture and therefor will not have as much moisture in it while drying, meaning drying quicker. no?

Just took 2 of me girls out to do abit of work in the drobe, so thought i'd take a quick (& shit!) picture to show the extreme variation in phenotypes. I'm abit pissed off really, coz the genetics are meant to be quite a stable.

They are both very healthy, but the one up on the bed, on the left is about 25cm high and just bushing out.

The one on the right is over 80cm and still stretching, with much thinner leaves. Clearly a much greater sativa influence and not low at all. All conditions in the drobe are fine so am surprised that she has grown so much.

Anyone else got one that high????

thats big. wot u gona use 2 flower? might i suggest u SCROG it, cuz an envirolite wont do owt 4 the bottom.
