Full Version: Need To Re-pot In Flowering

i reckon we have to re-pot our plants because the roots dont seem to have anywhere to grow as they are all coming out the bottom of the pots, my friend and co-grower suggested that we get bigger pots and carefully cut the bottoms off and put them into the bigger pots with some more compost
sounds risky in case we accidently cut some of the root or whatever
we are in week 4 of flowering
any other suggestion?
thanks

its not normally recomended during flowering. but if you gotta, then you gotta.

i speak from experience . my last grow was in 7.5 ltr pots and at week 5 of 12/12 i let paranoia about the roots coming out the bottom get the better of me and i potted up .didnt do no harm from wat i could tell, but after harvest i removed the bare stem and lifted the rootball out to discover the roots hadnt even entered the new soil. The rootball was still same size and shape as old pot

so no use potting up in flower, your just wasting dirt as theres very little if no root- growth at that stage of flowering

thanks for the advice people

Roots don't grow no more when into flower season.
