I am going to buy a contactor for my next grow but most have two wall socket plugs. My problem is i only have 1 was socket and my equipment runs of a 4 way extension. Is it safe for me to plug a double plug contactor into the 4 way extension coz if not i am buggered. I am only using 1, 600 watt hps.

I am at the end of this grow and i need a timer next time. I cant handle getting up at 7am every bloody day just to turn a light of. spliff.gif

That'll be fine - just make sure that you have the correct 13A fuses in the extension. thumbsup.gif

The correct 13A...Why is there different ones scribble ? Dyu think a surge protector would help as well?

Well, there are 3A & 5A fuses, too, which are commonly available.

I don't think that the Surge Protector will be of much use in this setup - in fact, the HID ballast coming on might even trigger it, I think.
