Morning all, i know this is a bit early but im planning next years grow and would really welcome some advice on the matter- yet again it will be in the conservatory as the plants seem to love it in there..... if its not broke.... dont fix it.

Last week i got a Q of AK47 off a mate and what can i say....... it made ' Masterlow ' seem like bloody oregano, some brutally strong shit- and i loves it!!

I want some proper buds for next year so im wondering could i grow some White Russian without lights???

And if so, when would i need to start them off?

Im asking all this as my main concern is how to induce flowering?

If anyone has any thoughts on more suitable strains etc- that would be great.

Yeah Ive seen that but it does'nt really help me- im more concerned regarding the logistics of the grow, i wont be around at the end of august so i wont be able to leave them to finish fully....... hence i cant just stick them in a hole and wait.

As i need to finish them early, will forcing them to flower after say 5-6 weeks make a big difference- providing the plant is mature?

I planned on starting them off around mid April in the conservatory, 6 weeks to veg would take me up to the start of June.... giving me 8-9 weeks of flowering time when the suns at its strongest ( June/July/August ).

Does that sound about right- and will it work if i cover the plants after 12hrs sunlight to force them to flower?

Good point mate, if there in pots u could just take em in and put em in a cupboard after 12 hours. but id say plant early march.

hi jester,
growing white russian should be fine all you need to do is make sure that the plants get 12/12 dark so just set a time that you plann to move it into a cubboard every day and then stick to that. this means you can start early next year and have a perfect harvest before others even start.

Alrite NP, i know what you mean about starting them off a bit earlier but im sort of limited on the height......... not due to any actual physical restriction, just that i like to have them completely out of sight in the conservatory.

So i sort of figured that if i restrict their vegie growth, due to a smaller pot and through bending/topping them- even once they have got well bushy during flowering, they should remain quite stout. As i have read that they double in size during flowering and i dont want some huge tree- why not?, im sure you ask. C.I.D. next door.

I reckon covering them will be the best bet, they aint even going to go outside as the conservatory is south facing and it worked last time.

Have you grown white russian before- if so, is it shit hot?

Its ok, he is a dense bastard- i sit and smoke jack herer in the garden when he is out cutting the lawn so he must know the score...... is'nt there a saying ' Dont shit on your doorstep'....... he must follow that rule of thumb!!

Should do really well , force flower is the way to go in this country going naturel so to speak,
Is it not you hope he follows that rule of thumb, be real careful dude specially late on in flower when theres a major stink

Cheers mate, i reckon it should be fine- ive got some fans in their, but im kind of thinking that if some of the lesser strains like i grew last time smell as strongly as they did...... how bad is this white russian going to pong?

In your opinion, do you reckon that there are stonger strains about?

Yea its gonna stink, when you say stronger, do you mean thc % ? if so then yes, but again all depends on the colour of the trichs and how they develope

Yeah Im on about THC levels- i want a predominantly indica strain as i want to keep them short and stocky, im prepared to pay for the quality and have been considering a few other strains like G13 etc.

If anyone could point me in the direction of some heavy shit, that would be much appreciated.
