Hi, I was wondering how the NFT guys are running there pumps... Just starting a grow back up after a long break so I thought I'd pick a few minds prior to getting things up & running. I personally have always used the '24/7 on' option, pump speed set to around medium until 1st/2nd week of bloom then full speed as the tray is usually chocka with roots by then.

I remember seeing lots of different pump schedules over time and I am just wondered what you guys were finding was producing the best results for you... Would be great to hear from anybody that has gone from scheduled feeding, to 24/7 or visa versa to see which they found better.

Well... hoping to get some good discussion in in here, so don't be shy cool.gif

I've not done NFT for a long time but I used to run the pumps 24/7, Seemed to work for me.

Me & you both bro! stoned.gif It's seems that you used the same watering schedule as me, and most, 24/7... can I ask what speed you set your pump to (flow rate), in terms of slow/ medium/ fast.

Thanks for stopping by.

I used to run mine 24/7 too. I’d turn the pump as low as it could go and also pull back the tube so most of the water fell back in the res without hitting the spreader mat.
You have to keep a good eye on it this way and obviously increase the water running through if you have to but all you want coming off the other end is a slow drip like an annoying tap.

24/7

I had it around medium but i suppose it depends on the pump. I didn't want the flow shooting past the
1st couple of cubes
water
ive tried both and IMO 24/7 is the best option

just my 2p
