hi all

a friend of mine is going to the south of india , kerala in a few weeks and i have asked him to get as many seeds as he can,i hope it is the correct season for them as i am sure it will be more difficult if it isnt.

if all goes well i then plan to try and grow a few(hydro) at a time to see what they will be like as i have no idea of the effect these plants /seeds would give from this area of india.

now my guess would be sativa as this region is closer to the equator than the mountains of Pakistan/Afghanistan for example, but of course i could be completely wrong.

any thoughts?

does anyone have any experience with this variety?

Yep I've grown Kerela landrace weed a friend brought back from India. Be prepared for some monster tall plants, they can easily make 3 or 4 metres in the wild. One seedling I grew had 7 inch spacing between leaf nodes !!! Didn't take that 1 full term. Plants that were exposed to UV seemed to be a bit shorter than plants that didn't receive much UV, that's something I intend to experiment with this growing season - UV & plant height. Talking of UV, if you want the best from this plant I would certainly consider some form of supplemental UVB, aim for around 200 - 500uW/cm2 and DON'T go in there when the UV lights are on.

No idea how they would do in hydro

Nice smoke at the end, quite racy, smiley and uplifting (depends when you harvest) but can bring on the horrors & paranoia if you're not in the right setting or overdo it.

Good luck with the grow,
Felix.

Hi toki

Didn't know about the Mandala 1, also Seedsman do a strain Indian Haze which is Kerala crossed with Original Haze. Got some seeds for it but haven't had the time just yet.

Hi there guys
i grew some seeds that i got from north india last year.
they started off in my green house in junish !
io then went and put them outdoors in an open field.
all summer i fead them nutriculture grow and bloom which i had left from my 205 hydro kit.
this plant grew at least 6ft tall and at least 6ft wide.
i chopped the top about 3 or 4 times to keep the height down, because it was in a local park.
i had to chop -i think about two weeks early, because it had got bud rot.
but i managed to harvest about 1 kilo of undried boom weed.
if i had not chopped this plant i think it would have topped at least 8 foot high !!

i planted in some strange places but that result has to be my best yet !!!
