smoke.gif Just read chemist's GWS report: few questions raised: My GWS are 8 wks into veg. yet are only about 1/1.5 ft. tall ( soil base to tip)

Only using 250w. envirolite, 1st timer, compost+vermiculite medium, and just Formulex nutrient and some really cheap (99p) fertilising sticks.

3 plants only from fem. seed(Greenhouse seeds): one is even smaller-only about 1/2ft. tall: I FIM'D THAT 'UN, AND step pruned thew other two (ie removed fan leaves alternately in stair pattern to allow more light to penetrate)

All plants look really healthy but i'm a bit concerned about their compactness, temperature is fine, cannot measure humidity, just white paint on walls(airing cupboasrd), and a clip-on desk fan to circulate air

would much appreciate advice (I know my set up is far from ideal, but I am totally skint £100 invested so far) especially ideas on organic feeds, increasing yields etc.)

Dont think I FIM'd the small plant correctly, but it is a bit more bushy than other two.

worst thing to do mate, leave your fan leaves on smoke.gif

do you have extraction and intake fans and most importantly a carbon filter? these are all must haves and the first two will increase yeild and plant size.

no, no, and no m8.

trying to do a first run spending as little as poss. while hopefully learning tricks of trade, will use money saved from crop (I smoke a lot,and therefore spend alot at present) to invest in next grow

smell okay for now room isnt totaally air tight , open windas for air and holes in floor for extra vent (temp. ok)

U think its lack of CO2? or just low wattage and bad management? (ie. pruning fuck-ups?) nea.gif

without adequate ventilation you'll be lucky to get a crop at all and even if you do manage something it will be a pitiful amount, you need airflow simple as that, plants like all other living things need to breath fresh air.

even if you just use a few cheap arsed PC fans it'll be better than nothing but you need something or you'll be screwed, I don't think a desk fan is really man enough and you really need something drawing air into your growspace.
