Hi, I have a closet grow with four plants and 2 of them seem to be having problems. I have 2 cheese and 2 northern lights and it's the northern lights i seem to be having problems with. The leaves around the top buds seem to be turning yellow, worse on the two biggest buds but i can just about see it spreading to the other smaller ones. I have done a search and found a few things this could be but im still not too sure and really wouldn't want to make them any worse. i'm currently using a 250watt hps about 10inches away from the growing tips. i water all the plants around every 5-6 days or whenever needed and have used biobloom with every water. they each get around 1.7 litre's or until flowing out the bottom of the pot. each pot is 15ltr. i run an extractor with filter and this seems to keep the temps down pretty well. The ph of the water with nutes is around 6.8. Runoff is also 6.8. I really have no clue how to fix this, so whatever advice you can give me will be very much appreciated. Thankyou.

I noticed that all the yellowing leaves are in the middle of the cupboard, thinking this could be a lighting issue??
I should mention they each have their own pot as i did not make this clear.

If by bio bloom you mean bio bizz bloom then you need to also use either the grow or fishmix at 1 ml per litre..

You haven't mentioned how much bio bloom you are feeding..How many ml per litre..?

hi madgiz, yes sorry i'm using biobizz bloom. When i started flowering i used 2.5ml per litre but upped it to 4ml after about the first 3 weeks.

Are you in compost? 1.7L doesnt sound alot to me in 15l pots every 5-6 days. If you're in compost i seem to find a rule of 3rds seem to work, to saturate the compost fully i normally find it takes roughly a 3rd of the pot size. In 3.5l finals i water just over a litre, in 6.5l's they easily gulp up 2 litres so with 15l i would be aiming to get 5 litres in there.

Madgiz is right, you need to feed the grow and bloom together with biobizz and maybe a dose of epsom salts although it might be a bit late for that. Look into Plant Magic Oldtimer nutes, I switched to that from biobizz and its much easier, cleaner and healthier plants too.

Ive got a mix of compost and 1/3 perlite and a handful of crushed seashell. Do you think this is down to a N defficiency then?. Shame really only got a week and a half left on them hopefully it will make it until then. I didnt realise i had to mix in a bit of grow with the bloom as the bloom bottle says its a complete flowering feed. oh well we live and learn. Thankyou for your replys.

I would give them a feed of 2ml grow and 2ml bloom as a one off an then get them on 1ml grow and 3 ml bloom if they were mine..

I've always waited to water until the top two inches of soil were dry. I fed every time like it said on the bottle which im now guessing wasnt the best idea.

As well as the finger test in the compost it is a good idea to go by the weight of the pot.

Looks like you'll get a decent enough yield there. :yep:

Yosser you do have a weird way of growing and giving advice

1. What do you mean
2. Whats that got to do with anything
3. Why does he need to
4. lol

I'm surprised you havent told him its down to ph lol

sbear....Your feeding is all wrong. You are not using a proper wet/dry cycle, you are feeding just bloom and not grow and you certainly are not giving them enough. A 15ltr pot should be taking at least 4ltr's per feed and yes you do feed every water

You also havent helped yourself by adding all that perlite. It just isnt needed

I was sober when i started this thread. I Just reread my post and would like to thank you for pointing out what an overinfomed piece of crap, with poor grammer and spelling. i only got half way through. And thats exacly why i should never be sober. Although it doesnt help with the grammer.

before you posted or Owd?

of your 4 statements only the first one is relevant to the OP and it doesn't make any sense

if it drys too much so that the soil is pulling from the pot then the feed will piss out but rehydrating that so it swells again works with fert in or not and a feed is hard to add once the medium has rehydrated... what do you mean?

if you are feeding your plants correctly they can stay green and healthy from top to bottom right until chop
