morning all, i know i'm probably getting a bit impatient but reading some post's on seeds sprouting is getting me a little concerned, i have 3 cc and 3 s.a.d and have just put another 3 cream mandarin in soak as back up, i had 6 in soil since saturday morning and have a 125watt cfl just over them for heat in the tent temps are 25.9-26.0 and sod all has happened been reading people have them up in 24hrs etc, first time germing auto's so i had them in soak for 36hrs and then potted them up tap root was slightly showing so i thought they would of been showing more quicker, usually photo seeds i've done are up in 24hrs or a couple of days, should i leave them where they are or was thinking to move them in to my airing cupboard where it is dark.

Hi mate!

If you had good results in previous grows, than do exactly as you usually do. Seeds are all the same when it comes to sprout, no matter if they are autos or non-autos. And about you getting concerned for reading some posts on seeds sprouting I think you should not be concerned because it is very rare that people have problems. You know, the thousands of seeds sold that sprouted perfectly never end up in a post in a forum, while when people have problems they usually end up posting something about it. Even if only 1 in every 1000 seeds does not sprout, we will still have threads where people complaint about it. On the other hand it is rather unusual to have people starting new threads just to say they had 100% germination with their seeds.

Hope they all turn out good very soon :yep:

Keep us updated, kind regards,

tommy

dude, not all seeds take 24 hours... just give them as long as they take, ive never had a seedling above the surface in 24 hours.. but some seeds are faster than others to germinate...

as i said i wouldn't be panicking, just give them time

Hi Sirbongalot,

Give them time m8, hopefully they will just be 'late bloomers' and feel free to post about germination problems etc :yep: Just because they have 1000's that do sprout dosent mean they should ignore the one's that dont!

Hope everyhting works out m8!

hi weedmonsta, so do you think its pretty pointless to have them under a light as they haven't come up yet, was going to put them back in airing cupboard where its dark.

Hi again mates!

Yes sirbongalot, just like our friends here are saying, you should wait a bit more, hopefully they will sprout soon ;)

And I always say that people should share their feedback here in the forum, no user of this forum as ever been ignored for his feedback, wether it is positive or negative. Only thing I said, and this is true for every seedbank is that when things go right and has expected obviously people don't come here and open a thread saying "hey guys, I had 100% germination". It is more likely that the ones who have problems are the ones who end up opening a thread around here. But never a grower as been ignored around here and we are always very much interested about problems with seeds to add to our database and compare with other clients who bought seeds from the same lote. I just did not ask you yet about the lote because after all this is not even a problem (yet), but just a concern, so far...

And I say it again: if Sweet Seeds sells 10.000 seeds and 20 of them do not sprout, the buyers of those 20 seeds are the ones who will open a thread here. The other 9.980 will be happy with it and so they will not open a thread here. The same with every company, I think.

Keep us updated my friend, kind regards,

tommy

And proof that no one here is ignored is that 25 minutes after this client posted his concern he had an answer and a person worried about his experience with the Sweet Seeds products. Even if he wrote that he only waited for 24 hours.

Also, everyone is and has always been free to post here negative feedback about the Sweet Seeds products. Never a post was deleted or edited and I've always been the first person here to encourage people to say whatever they want about the Sweet Seeds seeds and to protect freedom of expression.

Hope this stays very clear to all the forum users and administrators.

Kind regards,

tommy

Thanks my friend!

Yes, that's it, they usually take between 24h and 72 hours to sprout, which is fast. Anyway some may even take a while more. But having no germination in 24h is normal.

But yes, I understand, you red a few threads here with people talking about seeds that don't sprout and you started to worry, that's normal, no problem at all. It sometimes happen but as I tried to explain it doesn't have the expression one may think it has, because it is more likely to have people posting about germination failure than about germination success.

Nice ot know you enjoy some of the diaries we have around. Keep me updated about you little babies :yep:

Sweet smokes! :oldtoker:
