Not only is the KSA 8" quieter, it uses less power.
Plus, a 6" Rhino carbon filter can cost more than the larger 8"
Getting the KSA with built in temp/speed control (costs less than £30 more) lets you forget about fan cotrollers and the hum and buzz than goes
with most of them.

if you dont have a fan controller its best to use a smaller fan as active intake otherwise you will lose your negative pressure which means smell leaks

TS :yinyang:

e2a - you should be fine with passive intake tho until the better weather comes along

good thinking :) he has got the different output ones but i was just thinking if your stuff is new Luigip you could take/send one of the fans back and get a 150mm instead then go 125mm in and 150mm out (you'd have to upgrade your filter though to 150mm) :stoned:

e2a- Greenfloyd- them fans look funky :) is the out vent on the top or is it a straight through do you know?

They are superb mate, I use the 4" currently and have an 8" one sitting in a box :( I have to wait until this grow finishes.

They are not straight through s like the RUCKs or RVKS, the Intake is on the side, out of picture and that's the exit you see pictured.
They are sooooooo quiet tho, plus with the calibrated built in temp and speed control it works away automated keeping temps spot on.
I've tried so many fans and imho the KSA kicks ass overall. Even compared with KSBs, RUCK ISO-BOXs, Airforce II etc...

even tho one is rated higher than the other you have to take into account that your extraction with the filter attached will reduce your extraction fan slightly, all you can do is try it i guess m8, put the higher rated one as extract and bang the other in the bottom, if your tent blows out you know its no good

extract at top vent on side pannel venting to room through ducting ..

your venting into the room the grows in? if so your gonna struggle with temps and condensation(to humid = powdery mildew and other horrors). if cutting a hole through your ceiling into the loft is a nono you might be best putting the out near the window and the in just somewhere in the room (if you have to shut your windows for any period of time your gonna get condensation if you intake and extract into the same space and your plants end up using the same stale air).

sorry for this wee thread hijack about to take place Luigip :wassnnme:

cheers man :) , shame ive already got my holes cut to size on the drobe because that fan would save a right load of extra wiring hanging around my growspaces, i could get it in but i'd have to swap to a stubby 150 long CF.

Those KSA look amazing. Do they only do 2 sizes (4"/8")? Which one would be better for a DR120 tent?
