Hey people!
Been buying high-priced medium quality bud off the streets for too long now, so I thought I'd try my hand at growing my own juicy crop :yahoo:
Had an unused wardrobe for some time now so I've decided to make use of it and make it my small, stealth grow room! I've been looking around the threads now for some time and checking out equipment that I could use. I've finally found some that is a little more than I'm willing to spend, but I'm hoping will be worth it in the long run. I'm just wanting to grow two plants at first, to get me started, then hopefully many more!
Here's a list of the equipment I've found that costs a total of £237.22:
Segmental Timer STEP 15min
Carbon Filter 10cm (175m3/h)
High Performance Fan GROWTECH 12x12cm 220-240V
Black and White Sheeting 6mt
EasyRoll - Suspension Device
CELLMAX Universal Soil 50L
Easy Kit 150 HPS + Sonlight HPS-TS 150W
Eco Pack CELLMAX Soil
BLAUBERG BI-Turbo 10cm + cable - 185m3/h

So yeah, that's what I want to build my grow room out of :smoke:
Just need some feedback from some growers! Would that setup work for two plants? Is there anything else or any essentials I need to buy? BEARING IN MIND that I have already stretched out my budget so I really need to avoid spending more money. Also, will the carbon filter completely remove the smell of two plants? I need to be really stealthy as I have a lot of visitors!

Thanks people, peace :bong:

I'f I am reading correctly mate your gna install 12cm for out and 10cm for in? (fans) I think thats a lot for just a 150 hps or 2 150 hps (I didn't know if you meant two bulbs or 2 lights)

Maybe something to consider, although I may have read wrong I only skimmed through. Also the dimensions of the drobe would help people help you.

Atb,
Wretchy

Edit: sorry I can't understand what fan set up your planning on using, however a 10cm carbon filter is massive. For 2 plants its waaaaay to much unless you plan on making them MASSIVE.

Doesn't the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit . . . unnatural?

The HPS are two bulbs mate, not two lights, as for the carbon filter, that's as small as i could find :(
As for the high performance fan (which is the one I think you're referring to) is not the extractor fan, if that's what you mean, it'll just be used for cooling the plants so they don't burn :)
The bi-turbo is the extractor fan I was going to use, that's 10cm too.
But I can't find any extractor fans, ducting or carbon filters smaller than 10cm :wallbash:

check out Greens Horticulture mate, they have fans and filters starting at 4cm and increasing. If you give rough dimensions of your wardrobe I'm sure people will recommend the right size for you. I have a 5cm extract fan and that cools my room fine, currently growing 8 plants in there.

Sweet, cheers man! I'll have to measure up later when I get home, I'll let you know how it goes. How big is your room? Is it a closet space? If it's around the same, maybe a 5cm will sort me out?

Hi mate... I'm sure you're aware but 10cm= 4 inch.

As Wretchy said, put up some details of your drobe size and I'm sure somebody will drop in and give their advice. 10 cm is the smallest there is though.

And yes, a decent carbon filter ( such as Rhino ) will get rid of smells and will last a good 12-24 months.

Is your drobe in the same room as where you will have visitors ?

Well it's in my bedroom, the only people who could possibly smell it are family when they come to visit (my room is right next to the bathroom) or my girlfriend who is probably the only person who'll be coming into my bedroom, but I'd rather keep my growing op from her lol

Only reason I ask is because of the whooshing/droning of the fans. You can always set it all up without any plants and give it a trial run ( gives you a chance to check your temps as well ) and then if need be look at some kind of sound insulation.
I've done all i can with mine but I can still hear it ( slight paranoia! ) Luckily mine is in a garage though.

Yeah I'm thinking about getting acoustic ducts, can't have the neighbours getting too curious when they hear a whirring ;)

A silencer make's the biggest difference to the noise level, if you were extracting somewhere you wanted it as quiet as possible.
