Hi All,

Once a plant has PM, can anything be done with the plant or is it best to bin it ???

I'm chopping my 6 plants down now and 2 of the plants have PM on them.

Any help please.

Thanks Kev

How bad is it?
I'm seeing it on a few plants recently, but have managed to control it quite easily using "Microbial" as a foliar spray; I'm also being extra vigilant and removing any affected leaves as soon as I see them.

It seems a lot of folks are battling this this spring. I suspect the poor winter weather is to blame, no deep frosts to eradicate spores. Also seeing tons of Ladybirds in the garden, which must mean our (already sprouting shoots) roses are carrying a load of bugs that have not been killed by frosts.

Expect a surge in Red spider Mite and that sort of thing this year; I do. Forewarned is forearmed and all that jazz.... Lock'n'Load! :badass:

'Lock n load' Arnie. Love it. Yea been battling PM thru the winter. It goes mad during the cooler lights off time. I alternated between Neem & H2O2. 3 days apart and give them a weak seaweed extract wash down to unclog leaf pores every cycle. Yet to see it come back. But I'm waitin. I kno there's spores out there somewhere! Oh yea, disinfect all grow equipment between harvests. I also used H2O2 A WEEK before harvest with no effect on end product. This is how I done it as I had all the above already. If I didn't then defo would of got the Microbial Mr Layne suggests.Read good stuff about it. Hope this helps.
PS. I think every grow room should have Neem, seaweed,& H2O2 close to hand. Just those 3 items can cover so many Canna related probs IMOAE. Laters, reds.

Yes it is the same person, had a cock up when I signed up and have 2 diff names, using 2 computers, 1 in the house and 1 in the garage, sorry

Was not able to check them over the weekend was in hospital with a infected hand so the last time they was checked was thursday, explosion of it in only 4 days.

The PM is quite bad on 1 of them, maybe bin that 1 and try and cut most of the mould off the other 1 and dry separately from the others.

Thanks Kev

i may be too late but if you google his blog, jorge cervantes shows how to get rid of it once you have chopped which is the time frame i am assuming you are referring to.
I am unsure if allowed a link but here it is http://www.jorgecerv...powdery-mildew/

if the link gets removed try' www. his whole name no spaces.tv/2011/10/ and then and 'washing away powdery mildew'
