Using Vents control on a Standard Fan how to wire in the temp and speed controls Rate Topic: -----

Had a shitty 100mm shitty vents temperature controlled fan that iv been usin for about a year and i think its just not upto the job anymore ( constant running for 24/7 can do this i suppose).

Just remove the controls from the vent

using suitable rated wire, in this case it was 1mm rated upto 300v. connect into live and neutral terminals on the standard fan to be controlled. (mines had 2 speeds so had to connect it to N2).

drill holes on outer plastic case and route wires.

connect into terminals 1(live) and 2(neutral)

put together, i just used a wood screw to attach the controller to the fan casing.
make sure the temp probe is located inside you ducting for obvious reasons

just set temps and minimum speed and the controller will do the rest, and yes its working as i type :)
