Morning all,

Trawling the internet last night i came across these and am wondering if any body has used these as fan controllers?

It says its a Triac based dimmer?

With it only being 30 odd mm deep i don't think its a variac based dimmer, more than likely a variable resistor of some sort, how much is it? Cost me £54 total to buy the parts and build a variac,
