My My, how things have changed since I was last here. Must say they all look very healthy, bring on the buddage. :guitar:

Shall nip back in a few days to see how progressed they have...Attached Image

Day 17/18, and all is well... just gently watching the buddage develop. No probs, no issues, no hermies as of yet. Currently on 5ml per litre water used, OT Bloom.

Hi chap, welcome to UK420.com
I have two small WarDrobes that I flower in, they take 4 plants each under a single 250 light ;)

Quick update on progress ~ there has been a sudden marked increase in trichome production. Quite nice and early, just at the end of week three and start of week four. They seem quite uniform in this, all starting to frost at more or less the same time. One plant stands out though, it is much bigger than the others, more stretch and many more bud-sites, by a factor of several hundred percentage points. It's obvious which it is in the photos, I think.

Meanwhile I am pleased to say that the two cuts both took remarkably well, within twelve days there were roots showing on both. The first rooted in just eight or nine days. With one extra seed and these two cuts/Mums, given a decent smoke and something nice and worthy, then the future for Ortega Indica is secure as far as PFNC Grow labs are concerned :yep:

Which brings me to the dilemma that was always waiting to rear its head, and the very reason I am not exactly predisposed to Female seeds. If this smokes as well as it looks it might, I would have liked to cross it out to my Original Blues. But the absence of male parentage, makes this a no-go as far as I am concerned. Others might feel less uptight, I guess. There's always going to be division over this technology.

But in terms of easy growing, nice vigour and decent looking smoking prospects, its all good so far

Day 21, give or take 24 hours:

Hmmm, Not such good news today.
First, the dreaded WPM is back. Just before I go on holiday for 2 weeks, this coming Monday.

Second, about 45% of pistils are now brown, at day 31? I have also found one, just one tiny male banana. Is this the start of a turn for the hermie-worse? I don't know, and I'm not likely to know until I can or cannot see either more bananas or some seeds. When I get back from holidays.

This is not looking good, and I am now reconsidering my plans. It may be best to knock the grow on the head for a while, and let the mold fuck off before starting again. This would not be so hard, really. And it would probably be the best way forward.

But its all ifs and buts, and don't yet knows! I've got five days to make a decision on the WPM. And if more bananas come into view, this too will help me decide one way or the other.

Ho hum. Actually contemplating knocking things down pretty much straight away. It would give me some much desired free time.....

Hi Arnold, sorry to hear about the grief. The odd male nana can be pulled off and may not be a show-stopper in itself, concerning though it is.

The white powdery mildew may be more of a challenge. Have you had it before in that War-drobe or is it a new outbreak? I hope it is not a severe case of WPM, maybe you will pull through it. Fingers crossed for the PFNC studio

Hello Arnold,
Crappy luck with the WPM :woot: is it just in the 1 WarDrobe or right through?Sounds like a shutdown might be the best thing for bit maybe? Is the drobe an elderly piece of furniture?
Does seem a shame to chop em down at this late stage of things but it doesn't sound like they will go the full distance anyway from what you say :g:
Best of luck mate, hope the morning brings you no new nanas

Hi Tony,
Love your work mate.Is this a newly developed strain or an old one released in seed form.Is it the same ortega breeder Steve used for Legends ultimate indica?

Thanks Tony.
I think there must be more than the odd nana, but its impossible to see in the jungle that is my Grow. All I know, is, pistils are going brown at an unusual and alarming rate, and that by day 30? Is this the usual?.

On the WPM, this is now the third or fourth grow on the run that has gone down with it. It starts just about day 21, and is all but impossible to control.

I have Microbial, which I will use later this week. But I fear it will burn the hell out of the plants at this late stage. I'd try essence, but its a hell of a lot of messing about with pumps, and I can't ask a non grower like Mrs L to do that whilst I am away. In any case, I am not sure how helpful it would be?

My Wardrobes have plenty of good grows behind them, this is not something that is coming out of the woodwork, so to speak.

This is all very frustrating, i haven't had a decent crop in ages now. It really is making me want to just quit altogether and forget about it. It would be a nice break, and I would have my bedroom back again, with its lovely silence I could get used to that.

So, no, this is not a good day at PFNC Labs. It may even be the last day. I am due to water today. Its a big question, as to whether I will bother at all, and just tear the whole lot down instead. It depends on how far and wide this bloody WPM and stuff has gone.

Bad day, black day, maybe. I'll see.

It wouldn't be so bad, but as of Monday I am away for 14 days. I cannot expect anyone else to carry on with the treatments. Watering/feeding is one thing, but taking hours to inspect every leaf on both sides, and to spray with stuff that needs mixing and what have you .... nope, not fair.

Don't do anything too hasty Arnold....chin up :)
The nanas and WPM must be a frustration I know.......enjoy your holiday and reflect a little. Decide what to do when you get back.

Got access to an ozone generator ? a few blasts of that can help do the trick when in flower and sprays are out , dont use one myself atm but when i did i never had mold/lsf issues , all the best anyways.

Thanks for your posts, peeps! FAI ~ thanks man, and I'll keep your offer well in mind. Some days, that damned Black Dog just growls at nowt!

GB, I often spray right up to harvest if need be. So long as I keep high levels of ventilation, its not been an issue for me, and often been a great help.

I will spray these babies tomorrow, just before I fly off to my hols.

I have found two or three more nanas, they're buried right tight into the colas and buds. I have not and can not see a single pollen patch or bloom on any leaves though, so no huge evidence of multiple male parts. And maybe, as is often the case, these nanas will be firing blanks and just burning pistils rather than filling calyxes?

Be intrigued to see what they look like an 16 days time when I get back!

:)
