one and all I am the very proud onwer of a SSV
And absolutely love it just thought I would see if there is any tips or tricks to getting the most from this delightful Vape,
also been looking into getting a bubbler for it any suggestion.

Anyway my tip is don't use grinder
carefully dismantle the herb by hand place in the wand,
I fill around half way at this point
Give it a quick blasts (if needed)then grab a pair thin scissors and cut the herb in the wand not too much just enough
To expose more serfice area to the heat repeat the last step over and over until herb run dry

P.s I only vape.eveyday...... :smokin:

Dont toke too slow as it can burn the herb, nice short fast puffs.

Its worth getting it linked up to a bong for something different, all you need is a bong with an 18.8 joint and an arizer elbow (£8 on flebay)and its game on!

Got an SSV too, beautiful bit of kit. I'm asthmatic and reckon the SSV vapour is smoother than the volcano's. I've not got a bubbler, but a 500ml EHLE bong. This is one awesome combination.

Am gonna try the chopping herb in the wand method. Was grinding but I think it makes the herb too small.

Yeah its best used with a bong attachment, i like to do it through small to medium sized bongs generally.

I find if you grind up the weed too much too soon then you end up not getting as much vapour overall.

Be careful of banging out the glass wand on the table/ashtray, it will crack after a while...

This thread inspired me to get my SSV out over my volcano for a while....wow really got this thing down now and Im loving it again. It is definitely a more rounded buzz than the volcano as instead of getting a bit different hit with every bag as spread out a chamber over an hour with 3 bags, I vape the little I put in it straight away.

Not even bothered linking it up to the bong...its all about them fast blasts...

Damn I wasted....

Iv got the da buddah which is the cheaper version of the SSV and i prefer it to the volcano for solo sessions. Nice tip about putting the whole bud in i try that. Im definitely gonna get the SSV though as well.

I recycle my gauzes. I know they are pretty cheap to replace but I kept running out at times I really need a new one (as in when the other was well clogged). Anyway I have some ISO for cleaning glass bongs etc. I put a little into a clip lid tuppawere box and threw in the gauze shook it about and it came out good as new. Now I just rotate them. I heat the gauze a little with a turbo lighter to make sure the alcohol is off before using it again (word of warning and without wanting to sound patronising, make sure alcohol is away before fucking about with lighters).

I recycle mine too. ISO is great for cleaning off the weed, then I make hash with it. I know they're cheap, but my main problem is getting SSV parts here in the UK including screens - where do you get yours from? I just bought some from a US seller on Ebay and hate paying for the shipping.

Also, can you use hash with a SSV?

I use hash in it the odd time same idea as Jimmy, but I prefer my hash pipe for any hash. Mainly wand hash from the SSV mixed with Keif. Very nice indeed.

With regards to the replacement parts I've order all mine direct from SSV in the states. Never had any issue other than getting stung with customs on the 2nd attempt although this was one of their glycerine coolers which cost a fair bit. I think if what you order is under £50 including postage there is no customs charge.

So far I've had a replacement wand and the cooler from them and would order again when I need to. On the look out for a new hose at the minute as the ones I have are real grotty but will probably pick one up from the UK via a home brew site. Just need to double check the correct diameter.

Cheers Gonzofiend. I need to do hash in a vaporizer as I have asthma.

The reason I've avoided buying from 7th Floor (producers of SSV) is because I've heard the charge a lot for shipping. But if people from the UK are ordering I guess they're p&p must be quite reasonable.
