hi Les

I think maybe you need to find a milder medium for them to grow in on the next pot up

the rich colour of the leaves, the leaf tip bend etc. are all saying 'too much N'

there's a risk you will end up in the same position as with the cross and getting an 'intersex stress response'

(for the record on that --- true hermies are highly unlikely to show up in any hash/charas genepool as it is a seeded crop)

anyway, let's hope I'm wrong and everything goes to plan!

all best

We understood that drugs were not the health problem we were making them out to be, but it was such a perfect issue...that we couldn't resist it." - John Ehrlichman, White House counsel to President Nixon on the rationale of the War on Drugs.

"[Nixon] emphasized that you have to face the fact that the whole problem is really the blacks" Haldeman, his Chief of Staff wrote, "The key is to devise a system that recognizes this while not appearing to."

From my understanding it happens in Thais because farmers would kill the males, causing the Thai weeds to 'evolve' the hermie trait. Himalayan farmers would grow males at the same time so they are unlikely to have developed this nasty trait.

I cant wait to pop more seeds!

I'm so glad, I've been blessed with one male and one female kumaoni. I'm going to harvest the pollen from the male and pollinate all my Lebanese and Mazar-I-Sharif females with it. Hopefully the flowering time of the hybrids will be low enough and the mould resistance high enough for it to be viable for growing outdoors in the UK.

I have a kumaoni in the greenhouse its been overcast all month but shes grown quicker than the other strains.
The first set of leaves were very wide and round, but now the leaves are turning thinner, and light green.
When rubbed they give a lemon scent, not the skunky lemon or chem/bleach lemon that some strains have, just slightly sweet lemon, like an actual lemon tree.

Sounds really delicious, Rinse!

@Artificial Emotion, yeah those should be some real bad Mamas you get out of those crosses, images of Brazilian "Hybrids" come to mind, strong, vigorus, beautiful and sexy as all hell! Keep u posted Bro, we'll drool with you in expectation! If the mix is hot, I'll be right behind you as I've got the same strains to work with!

I keep seeing people mention lemon, I really didn't get a strong lemon smell from any of mine. They do have a very strong smell but lemon wouldn't be my first description of it. Maybe a little citrusy but not lemon and more spicey than anything.

I grew out many and found the effect and taste to be fairly consistent though varying greatly in strength. I was very surprised at how strong they actually are overall, I was expecting to have to go through a lot to get to a decent one.

Overall I found the Kumaoni to be very relaxing and clear to smoke, a bit giggly at times (which I think might be due to CBD presence in some) and pleasant as described. I expect that the hash made from these would be excellent but as a bud plant for smoking they were all a little on the weak side for my taste though some came surprisingly close, however I have a pretty high tolerance, I think many people might find these quite strong indeed.

My main purpose was to find a CBD rich plant however lacking any scientific way of testing it I simply went on impressions in the smoking. Either there were no CBD rich ones or I simply don't know how to identify them from the subjective experience.

It was fun though and I suspect if I had more seeds I could definitely have come across a real keeper for breeding potential. Overall I think they were far better than the Parvati I tried earlier however I made a lot of mistakes learning with the Parvati earlier so could not say for certain.

very interseting UK145, it's nice to hear from someone who's grown out a bunch. i'm surprised the taste was fairly consistant, the pahari's varied a fair bit.

Here's my kumaoni female which is starting to flower. I've crimped the main branch as you can see to reduce the height.
