I don't recommend 12/12 in veg - if you want to get the best out of them, they need long hours in veg

if you want to restrict size, veg them in small pots on long light hours until they show sex, then flip to 12/12 and transfer them to larger pots for flowering in the second week of 12/12 - when the most intense stretching will be out of the way

Kumaonis are not from the tropics --- by going 12/12 in veg you are asking for problems, and you are unlikely to get the best out of them

We understood that drugs were not the health problem we were making them out to be, but it was such a perfect issue...that we couldn't resist it." - John Ehrlichman, White House counsel to President Nixon on the rationale of the War on Drugs.

Mine are about the same size though they vegged longer but are in *much* smaller pots than yours. I've flipped them to 12/12 about 10 days ago and they are showing sex already. I started them in 1 cup (250ml) home made pots from water bottles cut down and I don't plan on anything bigger as I'm looking to clip off a test sample when ready then immediately reveg them and find a keeper that way.

So far only one male but there are a few who haven't shown sex yet.

interestingly these strains are often sown and/or germinate quite early in the year --- I've seen them at this stage or later in early March in or around fields where they are grown in the Himalaya... when it's close to 12/12

in terms of broadness of the leaflets - that's not unusual for Himalayan (and Indian) varieties

@Lesley - is it just the one leaflet that is warped or is the soil is too rich?
