Derek if you want to comment on this latest development please feel free to post here mate :)

All around me golden sun flakes covering the ground
Basking in the sunshine of a bygone afternoon
Bringing sounds of yesterday into this city room

I wonder what the 4 people who voted that Peter Pants On Fire shouldn't resign think now.

Hmmm, so looking at the vote now, he should step down.

I mean there are four or fives times as many people voting him out on this poll, than there were voted him leader.

CLEAR Equal Opportunities Policy: This is the draft of the proposed Equal Opportunities Policy to be presented to conference later in the year.

___________________________
CLEAR Equal Opportunities Statement

We believe it is essential to CLEAR’s principles, productivity, and efficacy to enable activists of all backgrounds to reach their full potential by encouraging an environment that is inclusive to all.

To this end, and within the framework and spirit of the law, we are committed to achieving and maintaining a support and activist base which broadly reflects the community at large.

CLEAR whole-heartedly supports the principle of equal opportunities and opposes all forms of unlawful or unfair discrimination on the grounds of colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, sex, disability, age, religious belief, sexual orientation or marital status.

We welcome people who support cannabis law reform from whatever cultural, ethnic or political backgrounds, be they cannabis users or not.

We believe that it is in CLEAR's best interests and of all those who work as part of it, to attract, retain and develop a diverse pool of activists and supporters.

Every possible step will be taken to ensure that individuals are treated equally and fairly, and a mechanism will be introduced for people to raise concerns and seek action if they feel an infringement has been made. Members found to be in violation of the CLEAR equal opportunities policy will be dealt with in accordance with a defined disciplinary procedure.*

Note

The formal Disputes procedure is being drafted and will be presented shortly.

------------

As always we welcome comments, now is a good time to have your say.

* Unless you happen to be the leader of the party.

poke him with a stick
we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old,we shall fight for the freedom of weed.

"As for Al Qaeda and the threat of a renegade nuclear Pakistan, let us install a small but powerful contingent of our most heavily armed troops, garrisoned in impregnable fortresses. In conjunction with our allies they should be equipped with the very best that we have. Mostly they can observe and use pilotless drones to interdict where necessary. All movements should be done by helicopter because we have no real interest in “hearts and minds”. When necessary, overwhelming, unrelenting and merciless force must be used against our enemies and yes, let our men have battlefield nuclear weapons too. We need to blast these evil Islamists off the face of the earth. There is no more time for patience or consideration or concern."

When he's really bored he gets the special pens out to work on the designs for his hollowed-out-volcano-WMD-lab-fortress submarine-base.

I don't advise a haircut, man. All hairdressers are in the employment of the government. Hair are your aerials. They pick up signals from the cosmos and transmit them directly into the brain. This may be the reason bald-headed men are uptight.

Oh but its fucking awful man, look:

...Leave behind the disgusting and corrupt Karzai for, sure enough, whatever we do, he is doomed to suffer a grisly and horrific fate

What, not only grisly but also horrific. Doomed also. Fuck. What are we talking here, buggered with a bayonet, not only horrific but also grisly? And doomed? Fuck.

He won't just experience it either, the grisly doom fate will be horrifically suffered, sure enough, by him.

e2a:
That doesn't read too awkwardly does it? How about: 'he will suffer a grisly doomy horror fate'? Or, 'Suffer, he will, a horrific, and doomy, fate of grisliness'?
