I’m a bit p***** off with Emerald triangle at the moment - I got some of their Sour Lemon beans as they sounded just what I wanted to scrog, a nice chunk of sativa in them to make them creep along the mesh.

They all popped real good within a few days, but almost 3 weeks later it’s quite clear that they’ve never seen any sativa, what I've got come through are obviously pure indicas, almost like lowriders of some sort, having developed into stubby little shrubs with plenty of internodes, but no space between them at all and typical indica leaves

No good for me at all for scrogging, (or anything much else), they’re coming out and I’m going to replace them with some genetics that I can rely on, going to go for some good old PowerPlant from Dutch Passion, at least I know what I’ll be getting there.

how many seeds did you pop mate? personally i would wait longer than 3 weeks into growth before i judged them. from my experience most plants whether indica or sativa dominant grow at a pretty similar rate when they are only 3 weeks old. im doing a multi strain grow at the moment with pure indicas, hazes and hybrids, they have all been veging for nearly 6 weeks and are all still very similar to each other in structure and size. give them a chance mate, they are still very young, im sure they can be trained into a scrog :smokin:

I've grown PowerPlant, AK47, Agamemnon & Blue Cheese by exactly the same method in the past and never had plants as stunted as these are, (squat, chunky and close internodes), they're being binned, (well, not binned, I'm putting them outside), and I'm going with something that I know will come out OK, I aint got the time or electricity to waste on what appear to be dodgy genetics.

I'm with Shogun, 3 weeks is a bit soon they may yet have some sativa in them and it might not become apparent until they start maturing. I'm sure I've grown tall skinny sat doms with typical indica leaves before.

It's not just the leaves Sasquatch, they are short, stubby, (only about 3" tall), with around 5 internodes in the 3 inches, not wanting to stretch at all, despite being fed well, ventilated and getting plenty light, (1 x 1000W over 5 plants), ideal conditions really.

That's what's causing it, too much light. Five nodes in 3 inches is just too bushy even for the squattest indica, too much light is giving you too much plant.
Then again it's got maximum topping potential. Otherwise less light should see them grow normally, I veg with 250w.

1000w is kinda high for veging. i use 1 x 400w for veging and 2 x 400w for flowering. i still wouldnt rule your sour lemons out spliffter, like sasquatch said 'maximum topping potential':smokin:. if you scrap them and start over you will be 4 weeks behind, i would top and train the sour lemons they sound more exotic than boring old power plant. just my 2 cents :guitar:

These are two Lost Coast cuttings in 5l pots, about two weeks off cropping. It's a very narrow room so it's awkward to show them at their best but there's about 5 feet of kola on them at least, with each having three main branches. Very sharp tangy smell.

Seconded.
