Welcome to my attempt at the Sweet Seeds Grow Diary Competition 2011/12 :yinyang:

Firstly a massive thanks to Tommy (for all your help and patience so far). Everyone at Sweet Seeds for your generosity with the seeds, and UK420 for making all this possible.......

Also good luck to all the other contestants :yinyang:

So i received my sweets today, the strains as chosen all arrived along with some funky Sweet Seeds stickers, thanks again.

My choices:

A bit about each strain taken from the Sweet Seeds website

All the strains chosen are photoperiod and are 9-10 week flowerers.

The plan for the grow will be as follows:

Start seeds, usual method, place in glass of plain water and put in warm airing cupboard for 24-36 hrs.
Once seeds are showing signs of cracking place into 0.7 litre pots filled with pre wetted light mix soil, into propagator and back in airing cupboard for further 6 hrs.

From here plants are moved into 60 x 45 x 70 cm veg box under 125 watt blue cfl on 24/0 light cycle.
For this grow the plants will remain there for approx 21 days due to flower room currently in use, they will be fed plain water and hesi root complex at the recommended dosage for about 10 days and then potted into 1.5 litre pots.

At 21 days approx they will be potted up into final 6.5 litre pots and then moved into a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2 m tent under a 600w dual spec HPS for further vegging.
Once the final pots have rooted out, switch to 12/12 light cycle for flowering. I'll be using the full range of Hesi nutrients.

Well thats the plan anyway!!!!

But we'll see how it pans out  lol

At the moment i have got as far as receiving the seeds and putting em in water to soak, :wassnnme: so fingers crossed they all germ and i get things going!

Thought id get my diary off to a start anyway so welcome to anyone n everyone who passes by to check out my diary.

ps Feel free to butt in at any time and tell me how i'm doing it all completly wrong...... lol

pps Will take some shots of the packs of seeds n stuff and add in my next post.....................

SWEET CHEESE

Cannabis merger between two high-flying stocks, Cheese x Black Jack. This gene enhances the virtues of their ancestors to give a new twist of flavor to the taste of Black Jack.

Produces long central bud surrounded by number of peripheral buds too long and of good quality. Its high production coupled with a revolutionary new flavor with hints of aged cheese and spicy Sweet Cheese makes a wise choice for hunters of new flavors and aromas.

Regarding the effect, we must remember that we are in the sum of two heavyweights cannabis engineering. Its effect is strong and stays for a long time, inducing states between euphoria and relaxation highly recognized by farmers cutting edge.

Technical Data:

Indica / Sativa: 30% -70%
Internal Production: 400-600 g/m2
Outdoor production: 350-550 gr / plant

JACK 47

This super hybrid is the result of crossing two of the strongest varieties of all times, Jack Herer and AK-47.
Our stud AK-47 was specially selected for its great yield and strong effect. Jack Herer the other half of the cross is the same elite clone used in our Black Jack which some of you already know.

Jack 47 is a super yielding plant with demolishing effects combining the best qualities of both progenitors in one genetic variation. The plant possesses extraordinary vigour which translates into large buds with a great abundance of resin even in the accompanying leaves. The aromas and flavours of the variety are sweet and scented inherited from our mother Jack Herer.

We would highlight that this variety offers great resistance to fungus attacks bearing in mind the size and density of the buds produced by this variety. Due to the genetic freshness and hybrid vigour of this plant it is apt for all types of cultivation: hydro, bio... Its extraordinary vigour produces strong and health cuttings which in optimum conditions can take root very quickly, even in 7 days.

This variety is not recommended for new consumers.

Indica / Sativa: 25%-75% THC: 18%-24% CBD: 1,6% CBN: 0,5%
Indoor Yield: 500-600 gr/m2 Outdoor Yield: Maximum.

S.A.D. Sweet Afghani Delicous

From the self-pollination of one of our strongest and most aromatic Black Domina mother plants. The in-breeding of this supermother produces resinous dense buds of intense aroma and musky flavours inherited from its Afghan ancestors. S1 seeds are very homogenous. Easy harvesting and very resistant to pests and fungus. Strong, sweet aroma.

indica / sativa: 90% -10%.

FIRST QUICK UPDATE:

20 Hrs from placing 2 of each seed into water to soak and one of the Jack 47 is showing signs of cracking already !
Rest of the seeds don't look far off either :)
At some point today I will prepare 6 x 0.7 litre pots filled with light mix soil, in the hope that when I check the seeds again tonight they might be ready to place in soil!
If not at least ill have them ready for tomorrow.

Anyway just a quick update with my observations so far.
