Hi Folks,

I am currently running 60 Easy sats as part of my guerilla op this year and am quite dissappointed at how late they are flowering. I mean they are cheap for fems but, still (they got £250 from me) this makes them vulnerable to rot, frost and being visible amongst surrounding dead vegetation. Now the marketing talk was all about how early these girls finish as well as how well suited to cold climates they are.

My girls still need a further 3-4 weeks taking me up to the 3rd week of October. It is a shame to have to be praying for good weather and always checking up for bud rot in October.

It looks as though I am not alone in this either. The Purple Marocs seem great however and are doing what they are said to do.

Anyone else noticed this with their girls this season?

Femaleseeds team, what reasons can you give for this late flowering?

Cheers Poacher. :) It does look good on the forecast so far, but that can very easily change. I am at the whim of the gods of October, lets hope they favour us :yep: These girls are meant to start flowering half way through July according to the blurb at the Femaleseeds website. They started flowering towards the end of August. :(

Anyone care to see the girls they can be found in my GG diary link in my sig.

I just ordered some easy sats for next year  What Lat you at Loam? Do the plants have a lot of free rootspace to grow into or do you grow in bags/pots? IIRC I have read that planting so that they can become rootbound can help bring on earlier flowering in plants outdoors, whether theres any truth in it you'll have to decide for yourself, worth an experiment next year maybe.

51 lat Goldie. I read from Jorges Cervantes the same thing with rootspace and flowering. My girls who are in car tyre planters are quite a bit ahead of those in the bare ert. When they develop well they are really fat colas but, just late dammit!

Bollocks mate! But then again that is the Daily Mail :P

Did you read the comments on there? Some people were implying climate change is not happening because it's getting colder!!!

Right. So the many late flowerers I have are still all 100% White pistils but, are fattening up. The problem is that after about a week frosty weather is predicted. These comprise over half of this years grow and still no comments from djay about this problem. Also small amounts of budrot have been appearing. If that develops aswell then I will be very upset. I wonder why they are so late this year? I am very active in the Guerila Forum and know that it is definitely not just me experiencing this either. Now seedbanks have their legal protection as we 'should not' be growing these anyway BUT, if they want return business then they would do well not to alienate their clients.. :wallbash: :headpain:

I had an EXCELLENT year with Easy Sativa,in fact I bought quite a number of packets to store last winter as the strain was ideally suited for the latitude I was growing them in at the time, though I have to admit I preferred the Purple Maroc as the buds were tight and dense, much better than the sugared-leaf that a lot of strains produce outdoors in the UK,it would be interesting to know if the pedigree/parentage has been changed on Easy Satva for this years batch?

It was the amazing results from the Easy sats (as you say in another thread quite rightly, ESP from Iamafunkimunki) that got so many people growing it out this year. It is a lovely plant still inane ways except it is considerably later flowering now. Not at all resembling a 'semi auto' is all. It is Oct 10 th now and I have 45 plants that's still need weeks to finish and are starting to show bits of rot....
