more juice than a smoothie and it's not really going to appeal to the sweet toothed but guess you could add a few apple if needs be for a sweeten/ transition
-packs in the vits/protien etc too, w/out the 'snake oil'

anyway : 4 cucumber's [juiced] w/ a couple good sized kale plants[also juiced] am using russian at mo. yum :D

perhaps put some herbs through too [dr.courtney style] if got an auger juicer[ centrifugal juicers not so great for leafy veg]
:smokin:

I'm still doing the smoothies every day and still feeling the benefits. I've been slack on the variety lately so I am going to order some creamed coconut and bits and pieces to get the variety back in.

Ill be out this weekend picking nettles, dandelion leaves and anything else I can lay my hands on. Ill be bagging them up and freezing them, I think the nettle sting is deactivated by freezing too, so I can just stick my hand in the bag and grab some each morning. Ill report back on what I manage to get.

I am absolutely lost for a workout with smoothies.

I actually tend to drink my smoothie a bit before Warming up and lifting weights.

I'm trying a new direction with the smoothies. I want to have a veggie based smoothie at least twice a week so tonight I tried these:

Curly Kale
Apple juice (Nice apple juice)
Water
Frozen blueberries
Raw honey
Organic carrots
Root ginger

It was nice, but the texture of the blended kale wasn't all that nice and it floats on the top. With a bit of faffing around I reckon I can make it more palatable, perhaps even straining it through a coarse sieve or something.

Its fucking awesome. £60 from Argos. 850w of pure blending power. I put a banana, ice, a whole pair, a whole apple, kale, green tea and protein powder in there.

Liquid in 15 seconds. I love it.

Nice blender Sam. I'm stuck with Philips for a while as I invested in 2 more glass jugs so I've always got a clean jug at hand so I wont be moving from this blender for a while.

Did you put the actual green tea leaves into the mix? If you did, be careful dude, apparently green tea leaves hold on to heavy metals, they don't let them out during the brewing process though, they are retained in the leaves.

I'm still making smoothies on a daily basis, I'm starting to think this isn't a fad!

todays was...

ginger
Lemon (peeled)
Frozen spinach
Blackberries
Mix of seeds
wheatgerm
oats
manuka honey
coconut oil
cod liver oil - only a tsp not enough to taste it
Apple juice

Sweet dude.

I'm still on them, don't know where I would be without them now, its a part of our everyday life and I can't see it changing in the near term at least. We all feel brilliant and we spend so much less on food.

Nice one dude. Make sure its a glass jug one and make sure its got some clout, the low powered ones can be crappy to use.

Variety is the key, treat it like a cocktail of medicines when you make one, loads of variety, try and get wild, raw leaves in it too.

I am still on smoothies too about 5 days a week. Had to cut back as they are so filling & I started skipping meals, mainly lunch.

I have noticed that some seeds (sesame) are going straight through me! Need to crush up a bit more. I am using the blender on my kenwood chef.

I really notice the difference in the kids apatite, if they have a smoothie for breakfast they are not so hungry during the day and don't try to snack as much.
