Ah shucks, I greatly enjoy watching the UK's version of The Apprentice, but they only broadcast it over here a year later! Sir Alan Sugar is such a chop. Wonder if it's possible to watch it online? :eat:

Puffadder, you can watch BBC I-Player if you use a proxy site that has a UK registered IP address. Just find a proxy site (theres hundreds out there) and look for an active uk based gateway (I think the techy bit is correct??)

I have to admit I'm a sucker for it as well, although I tend to spend the whole time tutting, shaking my head and just generally laughing at the stupidity of some of the candidates, but hey, it makes gripping TV and I just laugh at all the cliched 'buzz' words they use, like 'Think Outside The Box', I bloody hate that :D

Another fan here - tend to spend the whole show moving back and forth between disbelief at the cretinuousness of most of the characters on it and hilarity at this or that. :guitar:

I enjoy watching it as well, although if I'm VERY dubious about the selection process.

It makes better TV if they recruit plenty of obnoxious, egotistical idiots who love to blow there own trumpet. It would be pretty dull if all the contenders were switched on business savvy professionals who could work together without the ego clashes every 10 seconds - that's my 2 cents worth

Agreed besh, the more bsuiness savvy possibly won't make as good TV, as like you say, they'll just get on with it and I should imagine those who are successful business people don't even bother applying

Watch it?

I know it's shit TV but I love it lol

I fucking love it lol

Its so well casted, some right fucking turkeys on it.

"I hate weak people, I got no time for weak people, Lord Sugar will see I'm a no nonsense, versatile and enthusiastic, team playing winner" etc.

Its like they have swallowed a fucking Anthony Robbins book lol

I'm glad that lad got sacked last night as he was as thick as a fucking plank but then again he will be missed, it would be boring if they were all good business people.

My favourite was the lass with the blonde hair and glasses from the last series, she actually managed to cling on till late in the game but she was an emotional wreck and should not really have been on there.

I watched the Apprentice: Your Fired as well. I think it's funny that the lad who got sacked (who hated being called an Accountant??) had NO idea at the time OR in the boardroom about how he was breaking down the costs and then realising how much he needed to sell and at what price to create the maximum profit.

Suddenly by some miracle on the "..Your Fired" programme he starts coming away with how he broke down his costs and decided what profit margin they would need for a return. Well dipshit - if you thought about this BEFORE you went into the boardroom and managed to concoct this story (which, lets be honest he was winging it the whole way through) he might not have been sacked.

To be fair, in my experience, there are plenty of people like him in big private industry just "winging" it and taking home 6 figure salaries. I'm not bitter though because more money = more responsibility = more stress........

In the words of Kevin Spacey in American Beauty - - "I want a job with the least amount of responsibility"

I want to know where they found the 1970s sitcom spiv for the boys team.

Sr'allan found him on Oxford St in 1972 knocking out digital watches and fake bottles of Charlie, Tramp and Tweed. He enticed him home with offers of dolly birds in negligees but spiked his half of Pale Ale and kept him cryogenically frozen at his secret lair on an island that looks like a skull.

Just downloaded it on the iPlayer (I haven't got a TV). I look forward to seeing it tonight.
Got to admit I do enjoy watching each series - I find it fun watching jumped-up idiots making twats of themselves! I only started watching it a few years ago cos a friends sister was on it. Became addicted after that.

I hated her while she was in it! But once she was gone I missed her cos she was always getting into arguments with everyone and really helped make it good viewing.
