i bought a pack of greenhouse trainwreck seeds a couple of years ago, i fired one in my grow room with a few other strains, the resulting plant was big, went hermie in the last week but id been warned about that and chopped it before it was wrecked (no pun intended) the yeild was low, little buds on the end of long branches and the buds smelled like an old mans bad breath (as my friends described it). on the plus side when smoking the cured bud it had a perfumed flavour and tasted nothing like the smell and was a very nice high. about a year later i had a space in my grow room and didnt have access to any cuttings and couldnt afford any new seeds so i decided to give another of my trainwreck seeds a go, exactly the same as before, hermie, low yeild, nasty smelling buds but a pretty good smoke.
personally i wouldnt waste the electricity, i chucked my other 3 seeds.
i would be interested in hearing about trainwreck from another seedbank, my friends from cali cant speak highly enough about the cutting only trainwreck that floats around there.
purple wreck from reserva privada is pretty good but it didnt quite live up to the hype, if id worked with it rather than only growing it once i think it could have been one of my fav strains (no purple in mine tho)

I did a GHS trainwreck and it was great. very vigorous, good for scrog, it started turning purple at the end and was knockout strong. funny smell and not much flavour granted, also it did hermie at the end as well but not too bad. would recommend.

Got a pack of 10 TW from GHS years ago - I lost most, but flowered out and kept mums from 3...

Grew all 3 out a few times before chucking one, as it was just a pheno that lay between the other 2 phenos...

The last 2 phenos I have kept and been growing out for a couple years or 4 (?!?).

To me and my folks it's just a f'n excellent smoke, and the absolute favourite of most of my friends.

So, 2 phenos - both grow/look very similar, but one is very sat. dom in hit and finishes first by about 4 days, the other is very indica in hit, and last to finish. Both tend to yield about the same also - this can be a good yield indeed, but if yha grow 'em wrong they will just stretch and produce spaced out, small buds = crap yield. Only had 2 runs like that TF!

They both stink a bit bad during periods in flower, but both dry and cure to a delicious smell and taste. Both similar, but the ind. dom is more fuelly/heavy tasting, whilst the sat. dom leans to the fruitier side.

Oh, and there's no lack of taste in these either, grown hydro, dirt+chem salt nutes or dirt and organics - full, full, deliciously flavoursome.
If I ever lost these 2 mums/TW lines I'd be thoroighly gutted - they're def. my mainstay!

So from my ownexperiences and what I've read elsewhere about GHS TW (and GHS in general), seems it's a bit of a crap-shoot, genetically - I got 3 stunners outa my 10 seeds though!

So I'd say if ya got some of the beans kicking about fire 'em up - you could have one of the stunners! ',;~}~

Be well!

I grew out some of British Hempire's Trainwreck and got a couple of mental plants that stank of the archtypal 'minty whale'....metholly meat smell and taste. Very very distinctive and a solid 9/10 on the strength scale.

I've tried GH Trainwreck a few times and it has never had any of that smell or taste. Totally unrecognisable.

The short answer is no-one does a proper straight Trainwreck, unless you can find some of BH's seeds knocking around..but it has been a few years and I doubt they're to be found. Your best bet would be to find a cross and find the most TW dominant one in a pack or two, which is a pain in the ass....
