I know that this a silly question before I even ask it but I can't stop myself, and my brain can't think of the answer.

Does matt reflect more than gloss? Or is there something in gloss that is detrimental to our plants???

I used Vinyl Silk emulsion in mine, (because it's what we had hanging around) and I don't see any probs yet.

QUOTE (uglybudly @ Mar 9 2004, 03:01 PM)
flat white is the most reflective of all the different varieties of white paint
one of the biggest reasons for this is the uniformity of the light being reflected back at your plants
gloss, or semi gloss, or even satin can cause the light to deflect in a more inferior way
the type of paint you're looking for would ideally be anti fungal in nature
and if the room gets dirty,
give it another coat cool.gif

I am using Mylar at the mo, but I'm thinking of changing to the matt white look. Just wanted to make sure that I would be using the correct paint, cos to me, I thought that gloss, vinyl, etc. would be more reflective than the matt...

Just goes to show...

I'll look out for that anti fungal stuff too.

Am I right in thinking then that there isn't anything in paint that is detrimental to our plants?
