All show and no go that Purple #1 by the sound of it.
Does anyone know if 'Flo' finishes nicely in the uk? Either the Dj shorts or DP version? Breeders state last week of Sept but £60 for 5 femmed beans isnt cheap!! -------------------- When freedom is outlawed only outlaws are free.

indicacreek im sure when breeders say that their strain finishes late sept, if it was bred in say spain that might be the case, but the further up north you go, the finishing time gets later.
the purple taste gets a bit sickening though! This post has been edited by dpn: Nov 7 2009, 05:23 PM |

Fuck the purples. oOO00ooO00o0O! Lookit the pretty colors! A friend of mine who works on a very large (commercial) outdoor farm in northern california says that the purps are grown as they sell well. Most experienced percy growers and tokers stay away. They wont be repeat buyers, just curious. I didn't want to generalise, as there may be some potent purps out there... And yup, I was talking about [mostly] durban poison from dutch passion, after some research, seems nothing positive about the smoke. Could be novice growers, but, it's off the '10 list for me. I'm still interested in the blueberry, [dp], as they seem to be earlier these days, Bad Penny's were around 3 weeks earlier than my seeds from 3 yr old stock. I wonder how his buds turned out, mine were a little airy due to the cold temps late Oct. -------------------- "Weed will get you through times of no money, better than money will get you through times of no weed." - Freewheelin' Franklin

Dpn I must agree, seems for every degree of longitude you go further north a week gets added to the finishing time of Mj bred further south, what really makes the UK summers unique and so difficult to predict with Mj finishing flowering is the gulf stream but thats a whole thread waiting to be debated elsewhere methinks. Flo was originall bred by Dj shorts and has had some good reports from indoor growers who rate it for flavour and well balanced high.
SB my Blueberry could have gone another two weeks with the biggest colas taken first after one extra week, there was no mould but with the undergrowth thinning out discovery was becoming more and more of a possibility. Is still a nice up high but the buds are skinny and airy compared to one of the papayas which had mostly brown hairs by 21/10. The Bberry is a 15yr old cut that has been doing the rounds where I am, the keeper of this strain was recently busted but there are other cuts still going but it just takes too long for outdoors for me, idk maybe it would have been worth the extra 2 weeks worry!! I hope the Canadian stuff I have waiting to germ will do better though I will certainly be jumping on the easy sat band wagon along with everyone else. Meanwhile I await the update on UDG along with everyone else for yet more canadian strains of which there is a lot of choice for the outdoor grower. There should be over a dozen strains having found the current cultivation list for one breeder there on the forum, theres at least 18 diff strains all being cultivated outdoors but idk which or how many will be seeded and sold. i think female seeds will be raking it in with easy sativa next season
A grower who seemed to know his stuff recommended ak47 (female.s) for outdoors, but said it stinked though. |

Ferret heard a few good reports on that Kc36 outdoors thanks for the reminder. They are well cheap as well, may ave to get a pack as theres an extra freebie seed or two from the tude until tomorrow on their newsletter.

thanks for the reply there mate i have posted on here before about kc 36 its a fantasic plant the best plant i have ever seen grown outdoor my mate used to buy seeds from all the top seed banks but he had a kc 36 cutting given to him on june the 25th a year before last it was very small and because he had plants in his green house decided to put it in a pot outside and dident expect it to live due to all the bad weather we had come october he had 8 oz off it and the plant was only about 4 ft high the main cola was like a 2 litre bottle of pop and the side buds was bigger than the main cola of the chronic he was growing at the time in his green house. its a fantastic plant to grow very easy to take cuttings from and will out yeild plants that cost 8 times the price i wouldent say the smoke is great i would say about the same as chronic but he dident cure it right just put it in a cardboard box and would turn it over every couple of days since trying it he hasent looked back since and now grows it every year.
