What ventilation are you planning to use. ?
Personally that looks like a 250 watt HPS grow to me - check out Blab's box mark 2. Mighty Randal means to use two fans I think. An intake and an extraction.
And to place some oven filter or similar material over the intake fan. It looks like a 250 space to me as well. Whats your dimensions? Growing in compost? What strains? Happy growing mate. Edit, check out greens horticulture for fan/filter combos. This post has been edited by Leprechan Sweet Leaf: Mar 18 2009, 06:58 AM |

Dude that is a tiny room, why not just build a proper room in the corner of your bedroom? say 1.2mx1.2m up to the ceiling, 600w 4 plant scrog. Vent out into the loft, happy days. You'll be lucky to get an oz in that little thing, needs to be taller mate. Ideal for a little mother or clone room. It's just not economically viable. My theory is, if you are gonna risk growing it, don't do it half arsed. Your room is the most integral part of a good crop. Once you've hung your light and the pots are in there, you'll literally gonna have inches to grow. Cost me £50 to make my room as above.

could shove a few 10L od capacity (4 i recon) growbags in there to save height, would need a tray for it (greens), could get 4 plants in there and is possible to pull 4oz atleast i recon, gram for watt would be 8.9oz (crap thats alot did i work that out wrong?!
could be useful to use a cooltube or shade if you played around (their ment for 400-600w i think so could work rather well and stay nice and cool) good luck with the grow |

Think your talking shit there, an oz from doing a scrog under a 250w And why the hell is there any need to build a box the height of the ceiling to do a scrog???????? The whole point is to keep it low. And as for the fan i'd extract out and into the carbon filter as this means you dont need to hang the cf in the box as that coould be tight but still you could prob do it that way if you wanted. -------------------- |

thanks for all the replies guys
fuzzpot: i have been thinking about getting a cool tube and maybe a 400W i think 600W would be total overkill and i would burn my plants. i haven't sorted out ventilation yet, but as of now i have 6x23W cfls and 2x40W flourescent tubes in there on a little clone as a test grow (it's hot as shite in there man!) i'm just waiting for me next paycheck to go out and splurge on some growing equipment evans181:thanks for the reassurance man! really appreciate some good feedback on my hardwork do you guys think i would be able to use a bathroom extractor as an active intake? i don't need too many cfm for intake correct? just as long as i have negative pressure. |
