I simply just dont get this about cheese. I lived near Haz manor about 8 yrs ago and ive smoked loads of the stuff, i still thought the S-seeds ss1 3 way they grew was far stronger!!!
Still each to their own, is it beause its the UK's first recognised strain that everyone is so enthustiastic about it??

how do cheese clones compare to those from years back? if you clone from clones does the plant not get progressively weaker?

whistling.gif exodus clone how to find it
QUOTE (bluedemon @ Feb 11 2009, 04:08 PM) *
I smoked proper exodus cheese a few years ago and cant say i have ever smoked it since. It was a gorgeous smoke. I would love to grow some for myself problem is i have smoked a few types since then but none have really ever been as good, although some have been really nice. Who out there makes the best cheese seeds which comes close to that of the original pheno ?

well for me i look in the flower or grow room but then im officially a lucky bastard

most cuts around are cuts of either crosses such as ghs or bb or simply something else , dealers sell any old shit and tag the namke cheese onto it simply to justifuy the cost , ive known lowryder 1 go out as ``honest mate its the real deal aint , cause its fackin cheese , everyone else has the fake stuff dont they and call it cheese , this is the real fing `` , some clones are the result of finding a seed in bud !!!!!! with people paying 50 quid for a cheese clone then its no suprise that there so many sativa dom cheese cuts out there

just run bb along side the real thing in an aquafarm , sadly i placed 3 real and 1 pretender in together vegging together same flower time and food etc etc to really see whats what , the bb grew quickly enough keeping pace with the real deal , its a nice dark green showing it isnt so picky about food , branching it also did well and so into flower , yesterday the 3 cheese were cut , i could have let them foxtail a while longer but wanted space and due to the weight of bud they were falling over too much , however the cuckoo in the nest still lives on as its far from flowering , it hasnt even finished budding up properly no-matter matureing up , based on its mother ( due to hydros speed the mother was flowered 2 weeks ago at the same size as the clone , go figure ) i could even need to weight another 3 weeks , after this it could then go onto foxtail but not for me as its not worth it to me , the smoke smell just isnt there , it isnt cheese and although theres a bit of cheese in just 1 of the seeds tried but only in veg and theres almost the look of cheese from the buds it simply is not the real thing , close but no cigar

`` I just dont get why big buddha didnt just self pol the cheese clone he had``
genetics fella , cheese is a phenotype of a genotype , a pheno is the genetic expression of a geno , the geno is what the genetic base of a plant is but the pheno is how it is shown , so as such to self a cheese would require the seed to be grown in the exact same enviromental conditions and a massive degree of luck would be require to get the exact phenotype to be shown is cheese were to be selfed and have the same plant as the clone , thats really long odds so basically isnt going to happen and hence bb can mix it with anything he likes because the end result will be something different regardless

used to get some the growers called 'smack cheese' it was my first introduction to cheese some 4-5 yr ago. it was deffo more pungent than nowadays.even years ago there seemed to be different cheeses. that was before the seed companies climbed aboard the bandwagon.
now i can get something they call' old school cheese'. it is more reminiscent of days gone by..... but then maybe they just grow it well. i suggest that is the biggest reason why people are disappointed now.its not grown to top quality standards and probably chopped at 8.5 wks instead of maybe 11 for the best smoke. they are all good when grown well, even the crosses. blue cheese is a winner imo. you don't need the exodus clone, but it helps

Well I've only had BBC Fem'd seed...Popped 2 seeds..two different plants...1 was slower grower, prob like the one grown in side by side grow above...the other 1 stinky cheese ,berry and dirty clothes funk..when cured for 1 month the cheese and berry really came out in my vaporizer. The other slow grower has a slight cheese and skunk smell and taste. For those that can't get the cut...Big Buddha Cheese is pretty good imo. All the folks I let sample it thru the vapormatic deluxe say it taste and smells of strawberry cheese cake.

What is this OG Cheese people are on about ? Is it just another word for the Exodus Clone ?

Aparently there is a "Dutch Cheese" clone around ... an exceptional SensiSeeds SK#1 phenotype that is a bit different to the Exodus cut, but still exceptional and has been around in Holland for quite a while now. It has a name... I forgot... Mr Homegrown Fantaseeds told me about it a few months ago. I think Dutch Passion has an interesting Cheese seed, stories coming out that it may be better/closer to the real schnizzle.

As a previous poster explained, the Cheese clone does not self [S1] correctly, so most/all commercially available seeds are crossed with something low profile, an Afghani that adds weight, but the varying offspring are never that close to the original.

I smoked some proper cheese about 4 years ago and it aint like todays cheese. It was pungent/whiffy light green weed and got you battered of a tame spliff. Nowadays peeps say its the real mcoy but maybe i aint getting it coz this just aint the same shit as nice as it is.
I have 4 BBC seeds but people say theres so many phenos its like a lottery, i really dont know if its worth it. From what i can gather in this post Budha blue cheese sounds like a good option.
