It takes 12 fucking hours to brew and then it's got to be used within an hour, fuck me, I'll have to take a day off work just to use the stuff

I've only got few recently rooted cuttings to spray!!!

Cheers for the info

I will be making my first ever batch of essence and wanted to make an additional litre of mix for each pot as a soil drench and tonic. So 8 litres in all.
Is it ok to add a small amount of fishmix to the essence brew with the catalyst or will this harm the microherd?

99% sure the fish wouldn't cause a problem. 8 litres is loads, you'll need a water heater I think.

Just thought I'd add this too, in light of that, Ot1 one hour method...
Brewing is not that critical as I've said before, I put 4 litres of water in a 5 litre ex biobizz fertiliser container, add seaweed and sugar, bubble for a bit then add a couple of level teaspoons of essence, bubble until foaming well then use, it works!
As a comment this only takes an hour or so, ok all the microbes will not be up to the maximum population but all should be present, sometimes you need to fit things round your own life schedule and while not ideal still works.

My plants are a bit hungry and showing slight signs of n def and could really do with a feed this next opportunity but i have a slight rust on some of the leaves which might be some fungal infection so i need to nip that in the bud asap. I thought i would combine the essence soil drench with some fertilser.
I have a heater in a bucket set to 32 degrees. It will get about 20 hours brewing time.

Have always used the same heated propagator and air pump, but this last week 3 attempts have failed.
The brew foams like made for the first 2 or 3 hours but by 12 hours has gone flat with a nasty niff and has floating debris in it.
Temps are probably a bit low around mid 20's, but that shouldn't matter too much, should just take a little longer.
Only thing is the essence and molasses are getting on for a year old now, does this effect performance?
Also because it seems fine for the first few hours are certain microbes ok? I want to treat a plant that I suspect has fungus, but so far in a week have only managed to kill loads of microbes and not treat my plant.
What would the brew do for fungus that has only been brewing for say 4 hours? is it worth using at that stage?
Bit perplexed and could use some advise please.

You can brew it for half an hour to activate the microbes, use it and it will be effective.
It sounds like you are adding something that is killing the culture, or that the brewing vessel or water is contaminated, too hot will also kill out a portion of the culture, 20c will not.
A. You take a splinter off my cross, tie a few hairs to one end of it, dip the hairs into the pollen and lightly brush the pistils with it.

Not added anything to the mix, haven't even been adding seaweed until application. It does look the same as when you cook it (done this several times) but the temps are low.
I'll sterilize everything and have another go.
