Well, my grow room was supposed to be in the loft, but some useless arsehole has let me down so I had to take action as I wanna get things going.

So, under the stairs we go. This was full of stuff I now have no space for, but I hope it will be worth it.

To anyone else, just a normal understair cloak cupboard!

But underneath the coats:

This is one metre of white black white doubled over and the 'seems' taped together. I have taped the left side to the little doorway and then used velcro at the top and down the right handside....so I can use it as a makeshift door. I have also put velcro on the outside of the 'door' and on the side of the 'cupboard' so I can velcro it open, as well as closed!

This is my set up for the germination period, although I have actually only planted three seeds. I wanted to get it right on a small scale before I put the other 12 in. I keep the lid on the propagator with the vents closed at the moment. It is a four tube flourescent canopy in there which produces 5800 lumens, and an oil radiator to keep the temperature up as the lights arent strong enough.

You can see one just coming up now after 4 days

And yesterday I purchased one of these:

But I dont really know how to use it. I press reset and it does nothing. Also, can anybody tell me how the mix/max button works?

Thanks for looking, hopefully any flaws can be pointed out by your good selves to ensure I dont mess it up again!

press the min/max temp/rh buttons, you can see them change, press till theres no writing but temp only, thats your temp now, press once for max temp, twice for min temp, that'll be the highest and lowest temps since you reset it. i check mine every day and reset every day

When you press the min/max button it shows you the highest temp/RH that has happened in the room. When you press it a second time it shows the minimums that have happened. Lets you know what goes on when you're not around to stare at it. smile.gif

Looks like a good setup so far, good luck! smile.gif smile.gif

Also, it looks like a root has come through the bottom

At the moment the rh is 54 and I dont know how to get it up. The temp is 26 Celsius. Could anyone tell me when I should transplant and into what size pot?

Thanks again

I have been doing that, there is also a small amount of formulex in the water (somebody recommended this)

So, I should switch the lights off but make sure the heat stays at 27 celsius and humidity between 40 and 80%?

Also, could anybody help me with the other questions?

Thanks a lot

That looks a good root on that pic. I usually put into soil at about 2 inches growth. I use 10 inch pots. Has worked well so far.

Cheers slunkalot, Ill go and get some bigger pots tomoz! Should I just cut the bottom out of the pot its in and place in bigger pot surrounded by soil, or try and tap it out and transplant it properly?

Thanks dude spliff.gif

i would take them out of that prop now mate and get them under the light, close as possable, remind us what light ur using? i find the more you leave them in a prop the more they grow, high humidity causes this. it is what a young plant needs, you can also afford to pot up in bigger pot and bury the stem some more to support it.

jus my opinion, hope it helps cool.gif

Hi CheoTheBudMan,

Ill take that prop lid off until I go get some pots tomorrow. Can you recommend a size pot? I was thinking 1 litre and then finally into an 11 litre pot!

Im using a flourescent light canopy, though I have got a 600W bulb and reflector for when the grow goes upstairs!

Thanks spliff.gif

Sorry for delay in getting back to you my green friend. Only internet on phone, and it died. not rich enough for computer. Leave soil dry around seed and remove pot and straight into in big pot. Pre Soak soil in pot before transplant and ur well on road to smoke heaven.
