After reading up on this site, this is what I came up with. It was really easy, I just ordered all the stuff from Greens and assembled it in a couple of hours. Hopefully I helped this site with all the stuff I ordered smoke.gif

It's just a grow tent (80x80x160cm). I have a diamond reflector, 250w metal halide lamp and a 400w HPS yahoo.gif
There is a small fan pointed under the lamp to move the hot air and give the plants some breeze.

And the all important fan and carbon filter. They are huge and the fan makes a lot of noise. Any electrical suggestions for lowering the speed of the fan?

Thanks for wealth of information in this site, I would have been lost without it doh.gif

just a dimmer switch for a fan/motor from B&Q (they will be in the lighting or ceiling fan section and are really easy to hook up)

Good tip there, thanks stoned.gif

Wire the power cable up to the fan (brown is live, blue is neutral and green/yellow is earth, the fan has connections marked with "L", "N" and an earth symbol. I taped the filter to the fan with duct tape, hung the fan with bungees and jubilee clipped the tent flange to the fan.

I've got a diamond reflector, but it won't fit ecolights.

Sort that filter out before it wrecks your equipment and plants, you got a couple of velcro straps with your tent - use them to strap you filter to the roof supports.
Once you have done that buy yourself a fan speed controller not a dimmer switch, they look similar but are rated differently.
I would buy some ducting too and hang that fan properly, insulated ducting will help with the noise of the airflow.

If you put the filter and fan horizontally then you will have a bit more head room in that corner.... you'll need all you can get!

Don't worry about the filter, you couldn't even pull it off. It's going nowhere.

I don't know what you mean, are you saying bungees are not proper hanging equipment? wink.gif rofl.gif
Seriously, it's fine. The bungees and tape are easily strong enough to hold the weight.

Where can I get insulated ducting and the fan speed controller from?
