Put 100mm of hardcore in the hole, whack it, line the hole in dpm, lay your floor slab with a sump and drain, use railway sleepers for the retainers and Bobs your uncle. wink1.gif

anway you had £250 ..and now Rambone owes you £500 tongue.gif

If he completes it and it works ill give him £500.

Digging the hole is just the begining of what I can imagine is going to be a long and windy road.

hi

can you explain what the problem is?

is it that some of what you've pictured is protruding into the hole and youre worried about attacking it unsure.gif

just a thought you could always skim the walls with soncete as you would a pond to bond the rocks to stop movement then reinforce the walls , but is is a good piont to stress the shed needs to be supported do you actually realise how much stress is put on the ground by the shed the weights not evenly spread its just on a soil mounds walls , which if its uncompacted soil you may end up with your shed subsiding , i have thought of the idea myself but too much work , ive just had a shed built & triple insulated all round then boarded it then lined with ally foil then mylar, cost quite abit but plants doing well , do you recon ive done enough to avoid detection
mobile loses signal in shed is that a good sign
sorry to butt in
oh the reason im qualified to comment is that im a gas engineer of 18years experience & thats basicly my job to make sure all my teams holes are safe for my teams to work in the 1 im working on at the moment you would be able to fit a bus in
believe me having a weight on the trench walls is dangerous expecially the fact that its above ground , you should even consiter supporting the outside of the mound , otherwise eventually if the shed doesnt crush you or your plants youll be left with the shed balancing on whatever your supporting your walls with
oh & that wouldnt look dodgy would it ????
think about it how heavy is your shed , then every now & again you come in so thats an extra load which is not an even weight on uncompacted soil even if it was compacted it will move & usually when you least expect it eg when youve spent all your money completing it then it eventually gives way & you loose every thing

sorry for going on a bit but hope this helps

Is that Right underneath one of the walls of the shed? I don't think I would pull that out now and try to backfill it... unsure.gif maybe get some cement to reinforce it ? But I would think that pulling it out now would cause more problems than good...

you will need to 'TANK' out.line the walls.Any builders here?....ask quickbricky he might be able to point ya in right direction.

hi iam a builder and whoever is doing this should really give it up!! unless the walls are cast in concrete and tanked you might as well quit while your ahead as it would be very expensive i know i thought about it! If yo do bodge it with pond liner that is axactly wot youll get a puddle if you dont get crushed by three tonne of earth on ya. and last but not least if you manage to make it wter tight when it rains the water table will try and push it out of the ground like a bubble this happens with tanks not properly oncreted in. so unless you've got £16,000 to chuck at it to do it properly dream on bro'

No thats on the non supporting wall so its safe to take out , theres no weight on it at all just to clear things up.
