Hi gang

Well its nearly time for me to go off on yet another one of my scuba dive trips to the Red Sea, I was just going through some old pics and I thought I would share some pics of an octopus encounter we had last November...

Its quite rare to see an octopus as they are the masters of disguise :pimp: ... To see two interacting is a moment that I will never have the pleasure of repeating....

No I am just a fair weather diver and yes its in Egypt.. South Sinai to be precise..

Wicked mate. Truly amazing animals, they're like something from another planet, no bones, rubber bodies (that they communicate with), comparitively massive brains for their size, 3 hearts. I've encountered one in the wild just once, in Spain, was like a close encounter or summat.

Excellent pictures , madgiz ,,absolutely magnificent .
It broke my heart to see them being fished for on tv a couple of weeks ago.I wanted to see them in their natural glory , but it turned out to be nothing more than a Cephalopod snuff film :ninja:

Octopi (finally, a sentence where I can use that word) really creep me out though. Even the though of being attacked by one just scares the shit out of me :ninja:

Superb pics!

I was lucky enough though to do a few different swims, one with Dolphins... A-M-A-Z-I-N-G; a swim with Manta Rays... enormous creatures, and a swim with Giant Turtles... I only saw two, but they are so friendly.

It's been a dream of mine for years to try scuba diving... I just can't get over the fear of going under the water. :stoned:

How long have you been scuba diving? Do you have any tips to help me to get over this fear? I even tried snokling, but I panic when my head goes under water. :stoned:

Are you claustrophobic (sp?), cos that can be a block with scuba diving, enclosed in a suit, enclosed in the breathing gear and enclosed by the water, triple whammy if you don't like being enclosed.
