Don't go giving up on us before you break ground now... No matter where you decide to grow there are gonna be hurrdles and hoops to jump through.... get the shed sealed up and bomb it with sulphur..

You just gave me some starting info on my next question! I'll start googling sealing up a shed and pay a visit to the DIY store on the weekend.

Understand this too it'll take awhile before you get everything sorted to the point that you'll be comfortable with it.. I've been working on mine for almost a year now, and I still got lots and lots to do... It's always a work in progress, and even the best of the best have their weaknesses... Just remeber when you get into this if you feel like your spending too much time on it think about all the time you've spent looking for weed in a dry spell.. That normally puts me back into high gear...

Thanks for the encouragement.

Top bloke you are podgy. Nice one smile.gif

ive been thinking of doing the same but using 1 of those metal sheds in b&q ect. ive already got a budbox with 140cm headroom and does get cramped and hot without cold air intake and fans, id go for the darkroom 80 i belive its 160cm tall for £10-15 more. ideally go for the biggest u can but darkroom seem alot better quality than bud boxes, good luck mate

Just line you shed with insulation, not only will it keep the heat in, it will also keep the cold out in winter making it a lot easier or you to control your environment inside the shed

Insulation is great, but if it gets wet or damp it becomes a culture dish for mold and other nastiness plants don't like...

unless you running an arseload of HID lights you shouldn't have to worry about it at all...

WOW lots of replies here - brilliant!

I do not have the time to respond or even think about this right now. I'll be back on the weekend with more.

Big thanks everyone!

So I have decided on a few changes:

1. Upgrading to the Dark Room DR80 grow tent (80cm x 80cm x 160cm) for flowering.
2. Upgrading to a 450w HID light.
3. Intake and extractor going to the outside of the shed. 25cm intake with a 12.5cm extractor. Am thinking this will save on having an intake fan. Good idea?
4. Going to go for compost/soil and pots rather than hydro NFT system.

AND

5. Going to make a veggie/mother drobe - also to be kept in the shed. Use CFL lights for this - details pending ...
