Right I'm going for the Hi Tech version, I've done a few successful grows organically and I still want to keep the organic side alongside a lucas formula low maintenance hydro setup.

I'm building a sealed room that can be dismantled and transported to any location using CO2 and Air conditioning with a humidifier to keep enviroment in an optimum range.

I'm going to be using a 6 pot IWS flood and drain, I was going to do 12 which is the kit i bought but decided just to do six trees.
.
2*600w in a sealed room 2.0m * 1.7m, the pots/plants will take up approx 1.6m * 1.2m giving approx 60 w/sq ft.

I'm going to be using a US made total enviroment controller, the sentinel CHH-1, I have one coming from the states, No UK stockist has it atm although it is supposed to be coming within a few months in the UK, rave reviews, controls CO2 ppm using fuzzy logic with light sensor, temp thru A/C or extraction fan alongside a heater for lights off, humidity through a dehumidifier, all programmed from the base unit and the sensor in the grow room takes care of the monitoring.

First I will build the base, If the IWS decides to play up, I don't want a flood so I'm going to make sure I have control over that using a fibreglass "paddling pool" with a drain.

using 2 sheets of 1/2" ply I cut my base and surround it with 3*2 screwed together.

then fix some 4*1 to give me a paddling pool type affair.

Time to staple the fibreglass matting in place for the pool.

And now to add the resin.

just to add I beefed the corners up using small 4 screw corner brackets, you can just see them on the picture.

Need more Resin and hardener, have ordered a gray coloured resin for a top coat.

I have started a couole of walls also and will update as ongoing so problems and solutions are fresh in my mind.

Any questions?

question > what temp range are you planning to work in ?
co2 addition beyond regular rate will make the plant hungry for higher temps and nutrients.
Also , when lights go off you will see a dramatic rise in humidity.
how are you planning to work with that?

I will set the room to be 28deg c lights on 20 lights off 1500ppm CO2 only when lights are on, all controlled by the sentinel, I may go as high as 35 lights on, experimenting is the key here and could be different for different strains

Humidity will be controlled via a large 30lper day dehumidifier connected to the sentinel set at 55% for veg and lowering to 35% towards the end of flower

the 220l resevoir is located outside the room and will be 18deg c controlled.

Quick update for progress, I've been very busy over the last fortnight doing other stuff, I've done three walls though, pictures to follow shortly.

I've decided to go for a "minimal damage" type of portable sealed room.

That means I will destroy the boarding on the inside of the room and replace when I rebuild it.

total cost for materials for the sealed room, about £250, cost for rebuild, about £35.

It makes it a lot easier.

Well hope all the hard work pays off for you. Co2 should give some incredible growth rates, and by the sounds of it the controller has got all angles covered. Hope you'll do a diary when it's set up.

I assume you're using clones in this system, any idea what you'll be growing?

Yep, I'll be using clones, I have put some seeds on the go.

A choice between Williams Wonder, Oasis, Chemdog, Snowdog and Alpha Diesel.

As soon as I'm ready to transplant I will be doing a full diary on whichever strain I choose to use.

I'll be growing SCROG as well.

Hi, Long time no post , I've been really busy and have just spent the last week catching up on the room.

I have built everything and am starting to get it together.

I had a load of corrupted pictures on a card but I think there are enough to get the general idea of how the sealed room is constructed.

All the walls were built as removable pieces and screwed together

I boarded the outer side of the roof before fixing it in place, makes it a bit easier.

This part of the roof is the brace where I am going to hang the lights.

Boarded the walls on the outside of the room that are going to be against the walls of the containing room, there is a few photo's missing but you can get the general idea from this picture which shows lagging and inside boarding on the back wall as well.

This picture shows the lagging
