Billy Bragg, Which Side Are You On

Billy Bragg, There is Power a Union
The country is governed for the richest, for the corporations, the bankers, the land speculators, and for the exploiters of labor. The majority of mankind are working people. So long as their fair demands - the ownership and control of their livelihoods - are set at naught, we can have neither men’s rights nor women’s rights. The majority of mankind is ground down by industrial oppression in order that the small remnant may live in ease.

The Sonics ~ "Psycho Sonic"

I think they were a massive influence on the early Stones efforts, this particular track is also covered by the Stones, but this version by the Sonics is much better, with a much more proficient feel to the guitar work. Maybe KR was still a young'un feeling his way back then ('64), because latterly his guitar work is top notch IMO.

I think I posted Strychnine by the Sonics, somewhere in this thread! I really know very little about them though, as I came across them on the VA album Songs the Cramps Taught Us. A great sound though.
