Eindhoven Coffeeshops?

I haven't been to all the coffeeshops in Eindhoven but these are the ones which I have been to:
De Bakerij is more of a bar/seedy club full of pot heads and sometimes they play dub, techno that sort of things. I was in there this weekend and people really don't give a shit. There was a lady on rollerblades out of her face...not sure if that was weed though...typical squat-techno type environment. It closes at 4am on weekdays. right next door but in the same building is the coffee shop. The power plant there always make me laugh too much. After a few beers on a Saturday night is always good to go there. Is located at end of stratums end where ALL the bars are. It is a great placve you will always have something to talk about after being there.
A bit up the cultural scale by a degree is a 50s style american rock bar called LOFOLIE or something like that. While not actually selling pot you can smoke it there no problem. Is a great bar which plays hiphop, jazz, rock and dub music etc....an extremely nice place with cool bar staff. Is also located right next to Rembrandts nightclub which has 3 or 4 rooms and normally has good djs etc...
Further outsuide of the ring(if you turn right after coming out of lafolie you can find 2 coffeeshops. One is called ... erm damn that sudden death weed from Sinbads(another coffee shop but out of the centre)really hit me hard...
that coffee shop is called The Pink. They sell some good afghan hashish here though I have found that in Eindhoven the selections are not massive. It is good stuff you can find there. Though the general ambiance and decoration of the coffeeshop is a lurid and neon and the seating arrangement not too nice. It is more like an accident and emergency room gone wrong.
I think there is a coffeeshop grasshopper which is also close to the centre. I have been in a few times and they have computer internet access. Itfeels more like a sports bar with aluminium sheets on the floor and a very cold and metalic interior. Is ok though....but not to stay long.
There are one or two coffeeshops that I can mention but the 3 above are the ones in the centre.
Sinbads is a great coffeeshop though, with a very cosy interior, games, a pool table and a nice selection of weed and hashish. I just bought some 'sudden death' weed and some hashish called twizler. It is a very nice smoke. It is off the number 5 bus from the centre but worth a visit. It is more for regulars and locals I find(there is another coffeeshop close to here but I have never been).
One other coffee shop of note is on the same road as de bakirj and on over the bridge and straight on, is a bit of a walk and I can't remember the name of it...but it always seems too busy for me.
I would advise to head to pinks to pick up some weed, spend some time there...head down to lawolies to drink beers and to smoke...and then head on to de bakirj to get really baked.
There are many other great pubs and bars where you can go also. Be sure to go into some local cafes and pubs, there really are a lot of things to do. Eindhoven is great, everything is compact and you dont have to walk too far for anything, but it is a completely different atmoshere from say Amsterdam...good luck sure you will have a great time!

You're right about the decor in the Pink. Stayed for a few months in Eindhoven a few years ago and used this coffeeshop mostly. I loved the back room on a sunny day when they opened up the skylight roof... They still got that?

Pink - friendly, busy chilled shop. Hash was OK, S5 haze very nice.
Grasshopper - small, brash, busy. Friendly budtenders and good deals. 1st time had some very nice hash, sticky and strong, this time not so great but still better than many (this was the case for the whole town AFAIC).
Upstairs - at one end of the busy bar street, above a bar. Friendly staff, product not great.
Bakerij (or whatever it's called) at the other end of the bar street. This has some of the best product in Eindhoven from what I've tried.
New wave - Very nice place, comfortable & clean. Product not the best.
Eurogarden - Small and functional, with fairly clueless woman when I visited but top notch stuff for sale. Got some nice (cheapish but not amazing) ice hash.
The wall - out of town a bit, but their crystal royal is by far the best hash around.
Sinbad - again out of town, but comfortable, pleasant place with good stuff for sale. The sudden death weed is good.
Would have loved to get up to Tilburg where a shop (tomerain?? ) apparently sells fantastic hash , but haven't made it yet.
Have a good trip
