Hello Everyone,
Not been around for too long but a few people have shown some interest in seeing some pics of my GR. Well i managed to get some last night and the babies went in the night before, so i suppose this is a day two post. The plants are Himalayan Gold and seem to have grown a cm already! I'm going to try and get a couple of pics up each week to do sort of a diary, so you'll all know how i get on, and can let me pick your brains if i come to any problems. From the pics you'll see a fair bit of kit which was all bought from a guy who'd never even used it! Fair enough i had to go on a 4 hour round trip to collect it but it was worth the £1k saving!!! I got £1500 worth of brand new stuff for £500!! I was If it wasn't for this bargain i don't think i'd have quite has much stuff! So i'll start with a couple of pics of the plants and there pots. -------------------- |

They are planted in a 60/40 mix of cococ cor and clay pebbles. They are watered for two minutes every hour and the excess watre drains out of the bottom and back into the tank.

There is a small pump in the tank which waters them connected to a 2-12 min timer. Also a twin outlet air pump, one outlet attached to an airstone in the reservoir and one to an air rind in the bottom of the pots supplying air directly to the roots.

And heres a pic of my Veg chamber, the wood covered mylar on the floor on the right is the door but it hasn't been attached yet has the veg chamber isn't needed just yet, this will also house a mother plant, cuttings and seedlings. The inlet fan is just outside the opening and to the left, didn't manage to get a pic of it though.

Hi SR, thanks for the comments.
The Carbon Filter > A mate of mine has his fan mounted inside the room with the filter outside so the fan sucks the air out of the room and out through the filter. But i was advised to suck the air straight through the filter, been told its more effective! The Pebbles > The pebbles are for better drainage and more airy soil, theres about 2 inch of them in the bottom, and then a 60/40 mix of coco and pebbles in the rest of the pot. makes sense.......does it affect(reduce) the suction of the fan at all..... havent had no trouble (touch wood)with drainage so far with the coco, so i will be watching with interest........... cheers bud sr -------------------- |

The guy i bought it all from was moving to the states so he just wanted to get rid of it all.
I bought the pots, aeroponic propogator, fans, filter, 250w light, mylar and coco seperately. All together it cost me £1100! But after adding all the kit up it comes to £2200! Then it was about £250-£300 to build the room. Should be worth it tho for some fresh bud! -------------------- |
