On my previous grows I've hang dried my plants then into glass jars for curing, I've read you can dry in cardboard box but cannot cure in one yet on Big Buddha's grow guide it says
"Drying and curing
We have seen a lot of good weed ruined by the final stages the drying, drying to fast(dampweed),to drying in the wrong place i.e.: a bedroom/wardrobe which have deodorants or perfume ruining the bud, So we take the drying and curing just as important as growing, what you need most important to have a good constant average temperature, with air circulation, sometimes its good to use the growroom you are in,, first we clip of all fan leaves then after drying for 3 to 5 days we give the buds its final trim, this time the frosty trim is collected to be processed into "Bubblehash", and then the buds are put into either large brown paper bags or a clean cardboard box for its final cure, this will be cured anywhere from 5 to 10 days opening up daily to move round the buds for a perfect even cure, when the buds are ready they can be stored long term in glass jars, for even longer storage store some in the freezer, by know , you should have some really remarkable clean tasting pot, even better than what is sometimes seen in a Dutch coffeeshop.
Enjoy much peace and love
Big Buddha"

I've read mixed opinions on Big Buddha and read a lot online saying curing in a cardboard box isn't possible can anyone shed some light on this please.

Peace out :smokin:

My steps for curing bud.

1) Dry plant upside down (leaving all leaves intact on plant) for 10-14 daze till limbs are snappable dry.
2) Manicure buds and store them in clean (as possible) cardboard boxes for another 5-7 daze. Stirring them once a day till evenly dried. Make sure to spot check for mold w/ a blacklight if ya got one.
3) After boxing, remove them and place them in mason jars, airing them out for 5 mins a day for another 5+ daze
4) Pack, light, get stoned.

Observations: With just the manicure, hang dry, and jar method I find the buds are bit overdry, ime, resulting in the buds burning too quickly. With the boxing technique, it seems to give a tougher, more leathery finish to the buds, resulting in a nice, not too fast but even a burn.

Peace n' The Cured Dankness,

I dry by hanging them upside down. Then I take buds off the stems and place in brown paper bags for a week. Then they go into Kilners for long term storage and slow curing.

That is because BB is getting confused between the terms slow drying, curing and storage..lol

Mine was gifted by a former stoner but you can get them anywhere. literally anywhere. When in doubt, try some ebay'ing bet they got a google of'em. From Hot Topic to any "head" shop. It's funny that a stoner's never heard of a black light before...lol.

Aspergillus flavus will often produce a characteristic bright greenish-yellow fluorescence when examined in a darkened room under long wave ultraviolet light, aka a blacklight. This is done to prevent any mold from getting started or spread and A. Flavus is known to attack people with weakened immune systems such as organ donor transplantee's, cancer patients under chemotherapy or even HIV patients.

Peace,

p.s. Here's an ebay link to the U.S. ebay, don't know if it makes a difference, but this should give you the right idea...

BHO moldy weed or chuck it.

I chop plants, cut off fan leaves (unless covered in THC), trim back sugar leaves and keep for butter/bho or bubble, and hang buds on stems for 1-3 weeks (preferably 3) depending on how fast they dry (until stems snap), cut off stems and put in brown bags for 1 weeks. Then jar in kilners and burp everyday for a month. Cure for a while then vape.

MMMMMMM
