During alot of my time ak has been a well respected strain and one I'd always wanted to grow. I just cant commit to buying the seeds at the moment as all the ak i've tried lately which has been grown by friends, so i know its the real deal, has been simply dreadful. No other way to describe it. It tasted like a cross between soil and burning hair and there was no potency to it at all. Same again when tried from another grower, from a different pack of seeds in a different location. Couldn't give it away. Can't understand it, as i've always held serious in high regard and their kali from back in 97 is one of my all time fav smokes. Anyone else having any better luck with the ak at the moment, from current seed stock????? Still going to try their white russian and bubblegum at some point but going to have to give this one a miss sadly.

not what i wanted to here . i've got some, going into 12/12 in about 2 weeks, so can't comment on the bud. I like the plants though, and some of them are starting to smell rather nice.

I grew out a pack ak47 fems a was totally disapointed smell and taste was week and was nae a very good hit either have spoken to guys at serious seeds and said they would refund them iif i had the packet but sadly i dont.

The Current ak 47 is no were near as good as it was back in the day and that comes from a few peeps that have grew it.

ak47 just got named strain of the month on the hightimes 'free weed' podcast. ive got a soft spot for ak47, it reminds me of all the good times i had in amsterdam 10 years ago. its been a while since i smoked it tho. did ak47 not win an award in the 2011 cannabis cup?

I've done the ak for the last three grows and another couple of plants ready mid-January. It's a good smoke but i think it's just been surpassed by newer strains.

Won't be doing it again for a while because i'm bored of it but i've still got one seed in the fridge that'll get germed at some point.

Have seen serious bubblegum grown out recently and that was seriously bland! i remember growing it myself in about 2004 and it was bloodly lovely back then, like a completley diffrent bud now tho, thats just my experience tho, have u reworked these lines?

I had the same thing with serious bubblegum, 2 females, both hay.

Would love to get the cherry pheno of ak47, might try female seeds version, i have some old f2's somewhere too. If i pop enough maybe i'll get the cherry ak.

A friend of mine grew serious AK-47 , 2 females, both quite different in smell and effect I do remember one being more up form the other. The bubble hash made from these was a bit much


I've personally done serious bubble gum I had 3 females and one hermied , but this was down to far from perfect conditions in the room room.

The two females again were quite different , good yields with both having that bubblegum smell, the 'indica' leaning one was the winner in smell whereas the sativa leaning one for potency. both lovely smokes but never kept a keeper.

is it only fem seeds that seem to have gone down hill? are the regular seeds from the same parent stock... could it be that selfing a female has just resulted in an inferior plant? was going to buy some myself, but might not bother for £70 if they aint what they used to be!

well i grew out ak47 about 2yrs ago and it's still the strongest bud i've ever smoked. grew really easy had purple hues all over some of the phenoes. proper 1 hit wonder, smoked 1 and was high as fuck for about 4hrs. still trying to find buds that rival its potency, oldtimes by ugorg is the only rival i have encountered for this strain so far.... so to all you thinking about buying just go for it, ignore these comments because there are plenty of fakes goin around, and retain packaging !!!

I would also be interested in hearing from Serious over this,I am a huge fan of their strains but hearing this negative feedback is making me a little reluctant in ordering some Ak47.

Serious please put our minds at ease.
