Hi guys,

Ive been reading loads and still not to sure on what to go with so fingers crossed your able to point me in the right direction. Ideally I would like to use a 1.2m x 2m x 2m grow tent for 3x 600 hps lights. I was planning to use about 4-5 plants per light and veg for about 1 month under just one of the 600w lights. Do you think that the size of the tent is suitable for that, or is it a bit on the small side?

One other question I had is for around 12-15 plants and the 3x600w lights what extract/carbon filter would every one suggest.

Thanks in advance for any help or info

I think that size of a tint one would fit nicely, two would be a bit much and three your temps would be a big problem! my 400W if I right on Metters vers feet would and does work well in a 1.5m X 1.5m grow room and it's over 2m tall so 600w would work in a 1.5m X 2m but really it's over broad trying to fit three in there or even two.

them tents are ideal for 2 x 600w with an 8" fan and filter combo, maybe a 6" intake too :spliff:

not saying 3 x 600 wont go but you may have to up the fans perhaps

Thanks for the advice guys, perhaps I should try and go for the 2m x 2m x 2m tents if the heat in the smaller one is going to be an issue? And if I was to use the larger one would I be able to get away with the 8" fan with filter and the 6" intake fan?

36sqft is what you want for 3x600w at 50w per sq ft.

So the tent isn't a mile out. A DR240w 1.2x2.4x2.0 is suitable also. With a 600w - 400w - 600w layout being optimal for that size.

32 sqft x 50w = 1600w

If your using cooltubes then yes

if not, then you'll need a bigger tent for 3x600w

Ok thanks for the advice. I wont be able to use to use cooltubes so I think the best bet is to go for a 2x2x2m tent for the 3x 600w hps lights as I dont want to squeeze them in and get them to hot and then regret it..

Can I pick every ones brains on what they would have as the intake and extraction? For this size tent with the amount of lights is an 8" extraction with a 5" intake enough?

just be aware that the floor space your babies are taking up at the mo won't be the same in say a months time.

The larger the floor space the more lights you need + heavier extraction & intake.

I've upgraded to adjust-a-wings to give me better coverage ;-)

Light proof the room and use it as a tent.

Hi mate i have 2 x 600s in a 1.2 m x 2 m space and it works just fine, to be honest wouldnt be able to fit another 1 in with my air cooled reflectors as thier quite big! A good rule is 1 600 watt per 1.2 m square so u can imagine that 2 600s in that space is more than enough.
