Hoy hoy peeps and peepesses :)

I gone a bought myself a new toy and I can see it becoming my new obsession, long may it last :D

Some may recall that I made a "I want a tenori thread". Well it's not that, there is no way I can justify a grand unless I get a windfall. However, while drooling over them on Amazon I came across this endearing little piece of kit......

It is the Korg Kaossilator, a mighty but of kit for a mere £115. There is a pro version but for £350 I thought maybe later, if I get on with this. I am currently using Audacity for recording and mixing onto my lappy.

The only problem with the Kaossilator is that I can't put it down. In fact just putting up this thread is keeping me from her....yes, she is a she and I am going to call her Daphne :)

Hi mate

That looks like fun! Not a bit of kit I'm familiar with but please tell us some more. What have you done so far?

I've done a wee bit of mixing myself just for fun with some of my fave tunes but my mate is a DJ and well into it.

We used to get home from the club after he'd played at about 4 in the morning and really had some fun.

Music makes the world go round mate :)

Yeh mate, it's basicly a dynamic phase synthesizer. It can store up to 16 beats per loop and you can do loads of loops. I've only had it a couple of days and can see it will take a while to get really good with it but I've made six choons already :ninja:

Here's a vid of a kaoss expert

I have to say, it's great fun and sounds greeat

I was looking at reason 4,I may give it a go at some point Red. The reason I went for Audacity was the ease of getting started, not too many functions to get confused over :ninja:

Yeh, deffo having fun taffy :yep: For the price I think it's amazin, I really do and I don't even have any Korg shares

e2a....lovin the beardy man Scooby :)

It comes with preset sounds, about a hundred I think Scoobs.
All the effects are different depending on where you press the screen though.

Like, on the drums the effect has more base drum and less high hat at the bottom of the screen and the reverse at the top. The pitch can be effected as well by moving around.

There is also this gate arpreggiator thing that has about 40 settings as well as 30 odd scales from blues to spanish, the choices are endless.

I would love to mate but is there a way of doing it, say on youtube, and staying stealthy. I would obviously make a new account and get a new email account but is that enough because I would have to say "look at my vid on youtube" :stoned:

e2a.... it's great fun nEptune, you should get one....and you, Healthy :D lol
