Evening all

Just an few questions for those using plant magic soil and cuttings only! as this is what I work with.

Im aware of the potting up process and adding granuals at each potup and maybe try the evaloution once aweek aswell.

I have a bottle of fishmix and would opt for Oldtimer bloom from around 2-3 weeks into flower from what Ive been reading.

Will rooted cuts need any grow nutes either fishmix or ot grow if I have them in pots say .5>>1.4>>3.5>>6.5 for around two weeks per pot?

Does the pm soil have enough if any nutrients in it to feed the cuts enough whilst in each pot?

Thinking about a medium change in the near future & fancy giving pm ago.

Thoughts please.

Penny.

Hey Penny.

The Pm soil supreme really is 'da shit' As you know i started in coco like yourself but moved to organics. I started 5 Oldtimes in the soil which have just been put into final pots the other day (6ltr) I havent had to give any grow and there lush green! All they've had is just plain old tap juice and a smidgen of Bio Silicon. Really does all the work for ya m8! :yep: Update my dairy soon so you can have a gander.

I,ll be potting on regular, probally every 2 weeks.

Cheers.

The Oldtimes were from seed but I had a blue cheese cut that in was coco, also getting a really small dose coco nutes. Switched it to soil when rooted out the 1tr pot and didint have any probs m8, still goin strong and only getting plain water just now. You will no problems with the cuts straight into soil m8 :yep:

Niceone mate

Ive got a mixture of 15 cuts only just been potted into their first pots of coco (.5 litre) Im thinking of rooting out these pots first then make the switch at next pot up (1.4) to the pms. Was just wondering if the pm soil will have enough food to sustain them to their next pot up.

Cheers fella.

I found it fine for cuts penny, but you'd need some grow as two weeks may be too long when they a bit older, strain dependent.

Yeah maybe Bude's right, strain dependant. Stick them in after they've rooted Penny and at the worst, you'l need to grab a bottle of grow. I dont think they'l need it tho.

The Oldtimes have been vegging in the soil supreme for about 6/7 weeks with just water/bio-s

I'll also say it'll be fine, I find using cuts I pot up around every 2 weeks anyway so I rarely end up having to use nutes in veg, in fact I'm pretty sure the last time I used any nutes in veg was in october

Hello Nelly

I couldn,t tell you at the moment mate as Ive only just made my order today and I aint bought all the pm range, what Ive got with is pm soil suprime, pm revolution pm granuals and oldtimers grow & bloom. Trying to keep it as simple as possible really and from what Ive been reading grow bloom and granuals if skint is all you really need, maybe after a grow or two with the above I,ll have a tinker with the other stuff plant magic has.

Question: I have a mixture of clones that have been well rooted and placed in their first pots a week ago, these cuts are in coco at the mo and are in .5 litre pots,I,ll give them another week to root out these pots in full then change over to the plant magic soil, and place them into 1.4 litre pots, can I start to add the granuals then? Its their first pot up and I know they where started in coco, will this be a problem? Cant see it myself as Ive swithched from compost to coco before but never from coco to compost/soil.

My plan is to have them in 1.4>>3.5>>6.5 litre (final pots) and 10 days too 14 days in each pot..sound good? I,ll only use oltimers grow if I see them going hungary.

Look forward to giving it a go anyway.

Penny.

I follow the oldtimer schedule as found here, except I take Ot's (revised) advice and don't give silicon after week 2 of 12/12, and when I do give it I give it alone (ie no nutes). Biowetter I only use when I'm foliar spraying essence really, but it's handy to rewet the soil if they've been allowed to dry out too much.
Boost I only use on pot ups, or again if a pot's dried out too much I'll use it to help kick start the micro-herd again (only in veg though).
I'd be very wary of using an ec truncheon to measure organic nutes, I don't think they 'read' the same way as chemical nutes.
