Tried the new bulb this morning, works perfect no flickering at all.

Edit : Spoke too soon lol, went to check and it was screaming and flickering like hell. Gonna buy a bulb from a local hydro store to see if it is a bad batch of osrams.

Yeah I was thinking that but cant understand why it works fine with my old bulb.

The guy in the hydro shop said it will probably be the ballast since it is just a budget one. I will try the new bulb in my old reflector later on to see if it is that or not.

If it is the bulb holder will it be fixable do you think?

yes, you can buy replacement bulb holders man, very easy to replace them. I had that with my reflector, certain bulbs didnt work in it so I ended up replacing the bulb holder and it worked perfectly

Ok cool, I just tried it in my other reflector and it is doing the same in that one too so I guess it must be the ballast. Will get one asap.

Damn, was hoping it was gonna be a cheap £10 fix for ya. Have you got another ballast or a mates you can try before you spend the cash?

Unfortunately not, just one of those things I suppose. I could do with a dimmable ballast anyway so its an excuse for me to get one of them lol
