i have a £30 jml jobbie, works as well as it should, excellent for transporting your herb as well, no smell and a alot smaller than un-vac'd green, you can also cut the bags up and make them a lot smaller than the size they are supplied by resealing all the edges, i wouldnt be without mine , an excellent bit of kit

Iv got a couple bags that are 2 years old and last time I looked in there they looked Alrite I'm smoked stuff that's been a year and it was fine.I just don't like oz's in the house these keep em fresh and as also mentioned keeps the odour in which is good as you know how it usually stinks thru any bags you put it in.mine's a seal-a-meal machine I think bought it from makro for about £20-odd quid.

It works great - all the weed I used to score in California always came vacuum sealed.

Also, if you've been to Dam you'll notice that the runners bring the weed to coffeeshops in the same vacuum sealed bags.

I'm a big fan of vacuum sealer machines; hundreds of uses.

I used to have a JML one. That was great for the money.
When it broke, I upgraded to a nice Eiffel Pro (with the assistance of a nice win double that week :) )

You must ensure that any weed you want to store for an entended period is totally dry before you vac seal it or it will go mouldy.

best to put the buds in an open box , then seal the bag around it. Stops them getting crushed

Imported weed used to come in a KG box with a printed strain name card, double vacuum sealed. Back when import used to be good.

Whats a KG box? My mate used to get nice import all the time in the vac bags up until about 5 or 6 years back, but he never knew the strain. Was always a nice smoke, but never real stinky bud.

Kg/ kilogram in weight mate.

You definately get what you pay for.
I had a JML machine....cost about £40 IIRC. It was good for the money.
I've now got an Eiffel Pro that cost me about £110 (I use it for lots of other stuff)....there is quite a big difference in the build quality and it seems to suck out a tad more air.
Buy the best you can afford :)

Cheers!

Another question - is there much difference in the quality of the bags?

Planning ahead I'll eventually be looking for long-term storage of up to two years (one year to have no electricity use for a grow at home, then time to sell/buy/move house and get another grow on). Though I'll probably end up double or triple bagging for that. Hmm ... thinking aloud on a keyboard :stoned:
