Not really travel, but moving advice

I was wondering, does anyone have any advice for moving to the states? It seems pretty hard to get a green card.
Also I have an above average income, so money wont be a problem.

Not entirely sure where I want to move yet.
Just some place with better weather really!

It depends what you say when you go in - if you don't want to settle and get a full time job etc then you can get a 3 month visa and then just pop into canada or mexico at time it expires and when you come back in you get another 3 month visa as long as you tell them you are financially independent and you are touring the whole of the continent or some such story.
There is always opportunity to get work for cash and if you want to know where the stners are concentrated - Mendecino County in the mountains.

depends on your deffinition of "better weather" for me it would be colder with lots of snow
