An Introduction

Welcome to the second diary of billbud, Captian billbud of the Trichship, UK FourTwenty.

As you can probably tell this one is going to be a little bit different, we will have weekly updates and midweek replies to any comments or questions, hopefully it'll keep the diary more organized and it wont run for pages and pages, fingers crossed anyway.

The Kit

Flower Room is a DS90 running a duel spec 400w bulb in a 80cm parabolic
Extracting this is a 6" temp/speed controlled In line VK Centrifugal Fan. Fan speed is set to 50% and the temp probe to 28C
Intake is a 4" RVK that pulls from my veg cab with a 6"passive for good luck, (I've still got to much neg pressure).
This all could evolve as the weeks go by as I'm currently looking for ways to best use my space. Thread Here.
Medium will be the same as last time, Plagron Batmix with added Plagron Roots at pot up (just one pot up)
Feed will be OT1's Organic Bloom at no more than 3mlpl and a little veg boost early on, I'm hoping the batmix will carry them through the best part of the grow

The Strains

Sweet Skunk auto
Mohan Ram auto
Green Poison auto

I've gone for my usual method of germ, straight into batmix pre wetted with Plagron roots at 10mlpl. The beans have had no soaking at all and were kept in a cool, dark and dry place. I'm using 4" pots to start them off and will go to 6litre pots when they are 10 maybe 14 days from germ. Heres a photo strip of my method

Heres the 'tools' I use

Poke a hole and pop in a bean

and when you have done that nine times you get something that looks like this

Depending on when they pop up, and when my current grow finishes will determine if they'll go straight under the 400w or my little 250w red cfl. My guess is they'll get the cfl for a week then onwards.

The 20th of Feb 2012 will be known as GROW DAY 1. All seeds have germed making this a 100% germ rate for me with SweetSeeds stock, never have I had a failed bean, saying that please read on as there is something a little bit wrong with one of the Green Poison's.

It's taken a combined 749 hours to germ 9 seeds, that's an average of 83.2 hours per seed, or just under 3.5 days.

looking a like a runt already, she doesn't seem to have any cotelydon leaves, She came up with half a shell attached to the top of her that has fallen off after 20 or so hours, she has some green which looks like leaves to me, time will tell how she will fair.(see thumbnails for upto date pics).
