Hi, I was wondering if anyone has the information regarding the safe eco friendly disposal of nutrients?.
I have looked online but most of the information from DEFRA concerns large scale nutrient run off from horticultural units and farms, I suspect one would have to contact the environmental department of the council if we were to legally dispose of nutes which in our situation might bring unwarranted interest upon our activities.

I try to use up spare organic nutes on my house plants but have a two part hydro nute solution that I will not use and want to get rid of, I dont know anyone using hydro at the moment or I would just give it away, so what is the safe method of disposal?.

Cheers the noo

Not 100% sure Hughie, but I do know that runoff into rivers makes algae grow furiously killing fish & uncontrollably choking up the river.

Just don't put it in the water systems, straight into shitty soil where nothing grows is probably the best option to re-vitalize the earth & help Gia

I used mine up by dosing up the water butt in the garden to half strength(several times) then water the garden like a nutter for the next few months, garden looked great the year after and no ill effects whilst I was doing it.

My son is a bit on the small side - I make him stand in his bare feet in the leftovers...

I keep telling him he's my bud...

my garden box (large) and house plants. My gf gets my left over compost to improve her large garden patch. I also give it to a few select friends for their normal gardens.
