Hey, I'm 19 and really want to move to California (have for as long as I remember).

I was wondering, does anyone have any advice for moving to the states? It seems pretty hard to get a green card.

Also I have an above average income, so money wont be a problem.

It depends what you say when you go in - if you don't want to settle and get a full time job etc then you can get a 3 month visa and then just pop into canada or mexico at time it expires and when you come back in you get another 3 month visa as long as you tell them you are financially independent and you are touring the whole of the continent or some such story.

There is always opportunity to get work for cash and if you want to know where the stners are concentrated - Mendecino County in the mountains.

Good point Thicky, I currently run an online business and make around $10k-$20k a month, so I wouldn't need/want a job. Also I don't have a record.

And Farmer Boy good point.. better weather for me = warmer.. haha.

just go there on the tourist visa and then find an immigration lawyer, they'll sort it all out for you for a fee.

That's actually a good idea.. I think that's probably my best bet.
